| Damn..usually when a manga is on hiatus im like "ok, whatever, it had a good run". But this time Im kinda pissed (not at inoue, hes still pushing out chapters for REAL anyway). Especially considering how it's been like almost 10 years since. I wanted more man! We're at the last arc or 2, just at the home stretch...fuck! Good chapter though, and ending off with Musashi arriving does seem pretty good but not satisfactory, just a cliffhanger. Kojiro yearns for Musashi and it was funny seeing him act like a circus animal infront of royalty. Welp...whatever...it had a good run.... |

| I decided to read this manga after finishing Kokou no Hito (The Climber) my personal favourite manga, and what a journey it has been. Though it has taken me a long time to finish Vagabond as i have taken very long breaks throughout, im glad i stuck with it. The journey of Miyamoto Musashi throughout has been one of the best in anime and manga in my opinion and seeing him grow and change as person throughout has been amazing. Along with the relationship between him and Otsu, i wish we got to see them together again before it went on hiatus. Though many people dont like matahachi i honestly liked seeing him throughout and im glad he has started to become a better person throughout. I know this isnt the end as its been on hiatus since 2015 i believe, the day this manga comes back i will continue on with my journey. I wish everyone the best and thank you for this masterpiece Takehiko Inoue. |

Just finished reading this in the span of one year with many breaks in between, my my what a journey it's been. The way Musashi's character has developed, from being an ambitious, blood-thirsty 17 year old in the beginning to now somewhat of a sage at twenty something (I don't remember), the scars and experiences he has accumulated just radiates his growth, it's a huge contrast.
Pretty bummed that Vagabond has been on hiatus for almost 10 Years now, I'll still maintain my 9/10 score though. Now I'm scared I won't enjoy reading other manga as much since having read the pinnacle already :/ (exaggerated kinda but vagabond really was that good).

@aurora_yuuki It's on an indefinite hiatus but Mal considers it to be finished maybe because there's little hope for it to return.

@aurora_yuuki I'm not saying it'll never return since the Mangaka has said he MIGHT continue it one day if he feels like it, but it's been years since the last chapter so we shouldn't expect much.
| @sultanjiro That's a real shame. For Inoue to abandon his own work. He's apparently focusing on another one of his notable works, Real. Another masterpiece of a manga, but most fans were more fond of the former. A real shame, but it is what it is. |

| Consistently good, which makes it great. Unfortunately wont ever come back as continuation (very unlikely it seems), but well appreciated regardless. Great manga. A simple and organic feel to the story yet constantly engaging despite the meditative approach to it. Musashi still his plagued by his fixation of the way of the word in the sense that it lingers, but still not let go of it yet. The epilogue provides some satisfaction atleast. The art was so great, true 11/10 to it. |
