Date A Live III

This will always have a special place in my heart, and honestly, I get why it’s one of your favorites. I first watched it back in 2016, and then again this year all because a friend casually mentioned that there was a fourth season and I nearly lost my mind xdd. For me, this anime wasn’t just another show. It was the first one that really pulled me into the world of anime. The one that made me want to watch more and more, explore new genres, discover new stories, and fall in love with characters in the most chaotic way possible. And even ... after all this time, it’s still one of the few anime I genuinely, consistently enjoy. The mix of romance, comedy, supernatural elements, and all the wild plot twists just hits differently. The characters are memorable, the story is fun, and the whole vibe is exactly the kind of thing that sticks with you for years. So yeah Date A Live isn’t just an anime for me. It’s the anime that started everything. And I’ll always love it for that.

Well, well, well. If it isn't Date A Live III, the anime that's trying so hard to be good but falls short in some areas. Let me break it down for you.

The story is a bit convoluted, with a lot of unnecessary twists and turns that don't really add much to the overall plot. It's a shame because the concept of "saving the world by dating girls" could have been really interesting, but it's not executed as well as it could have been.

As for the main characters, Shido, Tohka, and Origami are the ones that stand out the most. Shido ... is your typical harem protagonist, which means he's pretty bland and uninteresting. Tohka and Origami have some more depth to them, but they're still pretty standard as far as anime girls go.

The music is decent, but nothing really stands out. It's just your typical anime soundtrack with some catchy tunes here and there.

As for my enjoyment experience, well, let's just say it was a bit of a rollercoaster. There were some moments where I was really invested in the story and characters, but then there were others where I was just rolling my eyes at the ridiculousness of it all.

Overall, I'd give a 7.333 out of 10. It's not terrible, but it's not great either. If you're a fan of the harem genre and don't mind a bit of a convoluted plot, then you might enjoy it. But if you're looking for something with more substance, then I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Ceritanya sedikit rumit, dengan banyak plot twist yang tidak perlu dan tidak menambahkan banyak pada plot secara keseluruhan. Ini memang disayangkan karena konsep "menyelamatkan dunia dengan kencan dengan para gadis" sebenarnya bisa sangat menarik, tetapi tidak dijalankan sebaik mungkin.

Untuk karakter utama, Shido, Tohka, dan Origami adalah yang paling menonjol. Shido adalah protagonis harem biasa, yang berarti dia cukup datar dan tidak menarik. Tohka dan Origami memiliki beberapa kedalaman, tetapi mereka tetap standar seperti gadis anime lainnya.

Musiknya lumayan, tetapi tidak ada yang benar-benar menonjol. Ini hanya soundtrack anime biasa dengan beberapa lagu yang catchy di sana-sini.

Yeah definitely the worst season. Pretty much the only good thing here is Origami's arc and the opening which I regard as the best in the whole series. The art was a huge downgrade, the animation is meh, the soundtrack pretty much the same but with some that are bad. And the adaptation is where it's worst.

Natsumi arc is ok overall but one of the things made it better is how Natsumi thinks. This season doesn't show that. And then we have the final episode which crammed the whole Volume 12. It's so bad that even Season 4 even have to adjust things and ... is still damaged because of this ep. The mysteries, the developments, gone into the fanservice of an episode. Just bad. 4/10
