Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai

Already at his wit's end, 29-year-old corporate slave Seiichirou Kondou suddenly witnesses the ground opening up and swallowing a woman. Amid his efforts to save her, the two are transported to another world. He soon learns that the people in this world summoned a saint to save their kingdom from a plague. As compensation for dragging Kondou into the mess, the kingdom assures him that they will provide him with a comfortable life and fulfill any of his desires. To everyone's surprise, Kondou asks for a job.

After successfully becoming an accountant at the Royal Palace, Kondou devotes himself to his new post. His accurate and thorough work catches the attention of various high-ranking officials and knights, especially Aresh Indolark, the cold-hearted Knight Captain. As Kondou adjusts to his new exhausting and dangerous environment, he begins to find solace in the company of Aresh, whose icy demeanor may be just a facade.

Are all the BL haters gone now? Great.
Isekai Office Worker is about a corporate drone, Kondou who finds a girl being sucked into portal to another world, while trying to save her he gets pulled into the portal as well. Since they only intended to summon the girl to be their Holy Maiden, they have no clue what to do with him. The most they could do is just let him live in the kingdom until they can find a way to get him back home. But alas, he's a true corporate drone so instead he asks if he can ... work within the accounting department.
After getting hooked on energy potions, Kondou starts getting sick and nearly passes out in an alleyway, but luckily for him the commander of the knights, Aresh was there to catch his fall and nurse him back to health. He does this because Aresh took an interest in Kondou, and they both start getting closer to one another.

To solidify that this is a BL, they literally have say gex in episode 2, or at least it's framed as such. And the way Aresh transfers his magic into Kondou is by kissing him sooo...yeah, it's pretty gay.
Even if you're not a fan of BL anime, the story for this is actually pretty interesting. We don't get a lot of slow burn romance isekai, or isekai that doesn't involve guilds, fighting monsters, etc. And I think this show does what it's going for pretty well. I really like anime that showcases how bad Japanese work culture is, literally everyone in this world looks at Kondou like he's a psychopath because of how much of a workaholic he is. And It's cute watching Aresh try to get Kondou out of his hole and live a healthy lifestyle.

The only thing I don't really like about this show is The Holy Maiden stuff, she's just a pretty boring, shallow 'girl' character who refuses to listen to Kondou because he's a mindless corporate drone. Thankfully she hasn't appeared that much and when she is onscreen, she'll probably just blend into the background, so it's just a minor complaint really.

Other than that, it's a pretty solid show with a cute BL dynamic. I recommend if you're looking for that next gay anime.

This isn’t the kind of anime that really dives deep into its own story. The narrative is pretty shallow, so it’s not worth watching if you’re expecting something very elaborate or full of complex development.

There are several elements that just don’t make much sense and, in my opinion, seem to be there mainly to appeal to a more fetish-focused audience. The idea that the characters need to kiss or be physically intimate to get used to their magic, for example, feels completely random — at least so far. Only four episodes have been released, and there still hasn’t been any convincing explanation for it.

Overall, the ... plot is very simple and hasn’t shown us anything particularly new compared to what we usually see in isekai: two people get transported to another world, one turns out to be powerful, and the other is treated like a failure. I don’t think the story is bad, just superficial. Still, it does what it sets out to do, like many other anime in the genre.

If you enjoy short, easy-to-follow stories and don’t mind these somewhat pointless romantic elements, you’ll probably like it. But if you’re not already a fan of isekai, there’s a good chance this anime won’t be your thing.

Even with these criticisms, I’m actually kind of enjoying it. The story is simple, the couple is cute, but it’s definitely not the best BL I’ve seen. The animation is okay, though visually it didn’t appeal to me as much as it could have.

Esse não é o tipo de anime que se aprofunda muito na própria história. A narrativa é bem rasa, então não vale a pena assistir esperando algo extremamente elaborado ou cheio de desenvolvimento.

Existem vários elementos que simplesmente não fazem muito sentido e que, na minha visão, parecem estar ali apenas para agradar um público mais fetichista. A ideia de que os personagens precisam se beijar ou ter relações íntimas para se acostumarem com a magia, por exemplo, é algo sem pé nem cabeça — pelo menos até agora, já que até o momento só foram lançados quatro episódios e ainda não houve nenhuma explicação convincente sobre isso.

A trama, no geral, é bem simples e não apresentou nada muito diferente do que já estamos acostumados a ver em isekais: duas pessoas são levadas para outro mundo, uma é poderosa e a outra é vista como fracassada. Não acho que a história seja ruim, apenas superficial. Ainda assim, ela cumpre a proposta, assim como muitos outros animes do gênero.

Se você gosta de histórias curtas, fáceis de entender e não se incomoda com esses elementos românticos meio sem sentido, provavelmente vai curtir. Mas, se você já não é muito fã de isekai, é bem possível que esse anime não te agrade tanto assim.

Mesmo com essas críticas, eu até que estou gostando. A história é simples, o casal é fofo, mas definitivamente não é o melhor BL que já vi. A animação é ok, embora visualmente não tenha me agradado tanto quanto poderia.

To be clear, I LOVE the manga and was super excited to see it getting animated! Unfortunately, the production quality is so, SO incredibly bad. Not quite to the level of Haikyuu season 4... but it did come to mind while I was watching. Episode 2 features obviously low textures for entire bookshelves, papers, books, and lunch trays seemingly floating instead of sitting on flat surfaces, objects that change size and arrangement from shot to shot, and just generally low quality movement and expressions. I skimmed episode 3 hoping it would look better. It wasn't.
I hate to rate it so low, but I ... can't in good conscience recommend this as a good watching experience.
