This was a fine piece.
Overall, it was good. It was entertaining, the art was good, the story was also good and refreshing. The message behind the movie was beautiful and very touching, but I feel like there's something missing here. Watching the movie really gets me curious about the anime, and even more about the manga. Research on both shall be done, when the time comes. |

Charlotte
Charlotte is definitely on my top ten. This was simply amazing. Best anime of the Summer season - on my opinion.
This was great ever since the beginning. I wasn't so keen on starting on it, but am I glad I did! As in for the story, supernatural usually sounds overdone, and unless it's well worked and everything is in it's place then it sucks. When something fits the supernatural category, you either hope for it to be really good or just really average. Now, on Charlotte the story was greatly put: it was light, at times touching, and it had a great balance put to it. The plot was pleasant. It just kinda went with the flow, and that's how they should be done. Even though it was supernatural, the main characters steal dealt with every day problems and a normal person's pain. As I see it, Charlotte meant something more important. Only teenagers have these abilities so I really saw it as a sort of analysis on how tough it is to be a teen: It's the time when you come to terms with yourself and find out where you fit in. Those abilities represented everything we loose becoming adults, we loose that insecurity we had and much more. Charlotte just represented that part in everyone's life, and it was such a good piece not only thanks to that. The animation is very good, I think they did a very good job specially on the school uniforms - god, those were cute - and the colors picked out for eye and hair match. It's something so small, but noticeable. |

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!
This was the cutest anime!
Let me just say, the animation was just great. It was probably one of the best animations I seen so far. Great color palette, great sense of motion, great shadings, just great. The characters are just lovely. Rikka was the cutest thing. It was pretty entertaining, I really liked this anime. The ending was so good, it had a great message put to it. I honestly didn't saw it coming. This was one of those anime that started like a kind of humor, entertaining genre and ended up having a deep, great meaning put to it. Just, great and cute are the words to describe Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai. |

Clannad
Clannad was a beautiful series.
Even though I did have my own doubts until episode 7, it didn't fail to amaze me. This was heartbreaking when we lost an important character, but it was totally compensated with everything else happening. The characters are very very cute and totally lovable. The art was very light, and that made it pleasant to watch. It's very worth watching in the end, one of the best harems I watched so far. |

Fushigi Yuugi OVA
This was far away from all my expectations.
Even though it was a short OVA, it kept most of the characteristics of the anime itself. The plot was pretty unexpected, and that made the difference between the anime and the OVA, or else it would just be the story repeating itself. It was a fine continuation of the anime, it put justice to it's name. |

Fushigi Yuugi: Dai Ni Bu
The second fushigi yuugi OVA follows Miaka and Taka to the book of the universe of the four gods to get Taka's memories back. Now, it wasn't particularly great, but after the first OVA, I'd expect something like this to happen. It really is sad for me, since I really hoped fushigi yuugi would keep up to the expectations, and sadly most of those expectations are more than dead. Everything is pretty much the same as the first OVA, but this one is longer and sadly, more boring to watch.

This OVA was really away from the anime itself.
Honestly, it was a very big disappointment. Fushigi Yuugi: Eikouden was everything I was afraid it would be. The plot was so obvious and weak it made me want to drop it out of the blue. The only actual thing that kept me watching it was because in the end, it's fushigi yuugi. Beg my pardon, this was a very shitty OVA. |

Hiiro no Kakera
Hiiro no Kakera had many of the elements fushigi yuugi had.
It was interesting. It was something a little new for me, since I'm used to pieces filled with comedy, and this time everything was so serious! It's good overall, the flow of the story took its time, and the background was beautiful. The characters are well structured! In the end, I'm glad to have this on my list. |

Although this piece wasn't so rich on story and, let's just say, pulpy, it was extremely funny and overall, good to watch. It did cling on me. In fact, while watching it, I'd be surprised when an episode ended. Besides the lack of story material, the initial soundtrack was also a little lame (not that it actually matters or influences it's score). |

Kaze no Stigma
Mainly, this anime is a good piece.
It does have a good base, even if the elements are something so overdone not only in anime, but in everything supernatural. It was an original way to 'reincarnate' the element powers concept, not all of them, but the power of fire and the wind. I loved it how even having supernatural possibilities, the anime didn't went against all the laws of physics. A sword couldn't cut through rock, and to me, that was a valuable point of the anime. The characters are pretty solid! That was an impressive point, since it is classified as a romance anime too. You'd expect Ayano to break down when the going gets tough and cry in Kazuma's arms, but it never happened. Regardless their feelings for each other, Ayano stayed strong, and never pleaded or needed any kind of protection whatsoever. It was a very non cheesy romantic anime. I would have liked to see a little more of those two, but in the end their bond is pretty strong and that's enough. As a watcher, I did felt like they should give a little more of what they meant to each other, but looking back, there's more than enough. It's a pretty good story. It's humorous and entertaining even when the going gets tough, it has it's own deep moments and hidden messages. I really enjoyed watching it, and i would recommend. |

Kimi ni Todoke
Kimi ni Todoke surely had it's moments.
It's very entertaining and fun to watch in the beginning. The main character Kuronuma Sawako was easily lovable, and I was very surprised with her progress throughout the series! Not only hers, but all the characters had interesting developments, and sometimes that kept the show going. There came to a point where Sawako and Kazehaya just kept going back and forth and it became a little tiring to watch that. They were almost equally shy between each other but when their shyness disappeared, it was really fun and overall, good. |

Lovely★Complex
Very fun and entertaining.
This sure had it's own sad and a little serious moments, it was heartbreaking at a time, but that sadness was fully compensated by the humor and feeling it brings with every single episode. Lovely Complex was just unique and very nice to watch. I honestly loved it! The characters were just light hearted and greatly put up, and there were definitely some fun situations to watch. |

Mermaid Melody is pretty average, dull.
Being rated as children pg I honestly expected some sort of deep and interesting message by the end of the series, but that didn't happen. The only thing that actually kept me watching the show was that inch of hope I had, I was awaiting something that would reach to me directly. Nothing of that sort happened! Plot, quite boring. The songs weren't fully bad. The fact that they'd always find themselves in the same situation is actually very very boring. Almost every episode, they'd have to confront with an enemy, sing, the enemy gets pissed off and runs away. That particular matter made this series bad to the point of me feeling like skipping episodes. I just couldn't bring myself to. |

This was a very good anime. It was very entertaining from the first second to the last. It's humorous and awesome. I think if it weren't for the more active characters like Benio and Mashiro-tan, it wouldn't have been so good. Overall it's great and I could watch it over and over again. |

Mirai nikki is everything you want in a mindfuck anime.
It had a great, captivating start packed with action. The start was really awesome! But then, towards the end, it gets a little meh. As you reach the episode 20, it gets super interesting. As for the characters, yuki starts off just miserably. Really. He was really not interesting at all, the fact that yuno was around him most of the time kind of made up for his dullness. The ending was very interesting to watch, a lot to think about. |

I wish I liked it better.
The story has a very interesting foundation. I really did like the way they decided to recreate the original story. It added a little of jazz to it. The characters were well put, everything was in it's place, but somehow there's something missing. It was so focused on Romeo and Juliet's love, that I think the rest of the story, the fact that they're star crossed lovers, their families... The whole rest of the story is easily forgotten. There's not a focusing balance, and that's the only thing I'd love to see. An equal balance, everything at it's time. The ending was just as tragic and touching as in the original piece. The ending was my personal favorite part. You then realize their love for each other, as in the piece. I do wish I liked this one better, but unfortunately I didn't. The story was very intriguing but it leaves a few question marks. |

Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo
The pet girl of Sakurasou. Damn, this series is cool.
I do love it when the series have something you can contain from them, but well made romcoms are warm welcomed as well. Now, this one was particularly good. I love the way the characters interact. I really, really do. There is absolutely not a boring second in Sakurasou no pet na kanojo. I also really like the fact that this story focuses on Sorata finding out what he wants to do, while everyone else around him seems to already found a place of their own. Now, this is pretty interesting to watch flow, because he eventually finds his way to Game making. I guess we all get to a place in life, where you're really lost when it comes to what you want to do or where you fit in. That's the main point of this series, and it only makes it better. |

Well, can I just say, Lain was confusing and brilliant and confusing again.
You kind of need to really think about it's message and content while watching it. If you don't understand one single thing, you just need to rewatch and try to get it again, or else it'll get hella messy for you. You probably need to have this understanding level one step ahead to really get something from lain. Honestly, I loved this series, and it was one of the best I ever watched. Very unique design, unique message, unique series. This is a very particular series to a particular audience. |

Shakugan no Shana
This was a great piece!
I must say, this was one of my favorites. I came across Shakugan no Shana as a recommendation from a friend, and I'm so glad I ended up watching it. It had a great balance between the action, the school/ personal life and the romance which made it very interesting to watch at most times. The story itself is very powerful, and causes what I like to call a mindfuck. You see, the torches represented people's lives, and the flame hazes the people who try in a way to balance and organize those lives. It really does give much to think about, and there are several hidden messages in the end and throughout the story. About the characters, I loved how Yuuji was also the narrator, and the voice actors were chosen very well. Shana was a very interesting character to watch through the story, she does have some sort of aging during it. Her personality was very well established! As for the design, it was actually very pleasant. In this case, the animation was pretty good and fitted well with the atmosphere. It's a great, great anime and I fully recommend it! |

The Pretear is a good anime, overall.
The characters are interesting. Himeno really looked like the kind of naive and defenseless girl, but in the end she was pretty strong and selfless actually. It had a strong point and a great base, but it did have a few flaws, and was plain in what comes to plot. It was a little predictable. The end was a big surprise. It was much deeper than what i thought it would be, and it was really worth it in the end, considering I thought about dropping it several times. But it was a short anime, so wouldn't be worth it after watching so many episodes. |

Special A was an hilarious piece since the very beginning.
It's a pretty light anime in means of plot, background story and design, so it certainly was pleasant to watch! Then, the characters are actually quite complex, they have rich moral values and strong personalities, so in the end you actually get a little hint of that. Somehow, this was pretty similar to maid-sama, only it held slightly different balances between the personal life, the school life and the romance. It was very entertaining, and surely worth watching. |

Sword Art Online
Sword Art Online did a mix up, and that's such a pity.
To be honest the synopsis was very, very, very interesting. The idea behind it was dead captivating and had very much potential to be an awesome series. But the story was so rushed it lost a lot of quality right there. They clear the game in 14 episodes! A 100 staged game in 14 episodes. They clamped this huge great idea inside a little package, and that's a shame. If it was worked properly, planned properly, this would be one fine, fine series. Anyway, until episode 14 it was good (not mentioning the fact that they rushed everything), but then it just went all down the drain. It started fucking up as soon as his adopted sister or cousin, whatever, started liking him. What the actual fuck? it was so messed up, that i don't even know where to start on that. Then it went from an action packed plot, to fairies. Why would anyone think that, ever? The meaning behind it was beautiful, he wanted to save Asuna and all, but fairies? That was a huge fuck up. It ruined every single progress the series made until that point. It honestly felt a lot like a fill up just to drag the series a little longer. It died on episode 14. If they'd done their job and let the story have a nice, slow flow to it, no one would have to feel frustrated about the potential this had. All I have to say. |

There was close to no plot at all, and that made the story itself sink.
The anime sure does fit the categories it's rated as, but throughout I saw so little evolution. It's probably the kind of piece that the start was better than the end. The story had plenty of potential and it sure kept me interested in it. But in the end, there was zero progress! Although the characters, design and story are very nice to watch, the main point of an anime is the flow of the action. And in this case, in the end we had such little to remember because of that. It really is a pity, since it could've been way better than it is. |
