Hey!

Is anyone interested in talking about Fukigen na Mononokean Tsuzuki and how it compares to the original, ongoing manga?

I’ve only read the first few chapters so far, so I can’t really discuss it with you, but does the anime stay true to the manga, or is there a lot of changes?

It’s pretty consistent. Similar to D.Gray Man season 2, the writers seem to have streamlined the content to focus on a single idea. In this case, Hanae’s father and how that related to Abeno-san. That was clear in the opening. I think the writer’s skipped some of Hanae’s reflection time and some other slice of life cases to hone on these. As a manga reader, I'm a little disappointed, but I know I can always go and reread the manga. Did you watch season 1 of the anime first? How do you think it transitions into season 2?

Can I ask a question I have read a few chapters of the manga way before the anime I think when I read it it did not have many chapters translated anyway did or should I say was Ashiya so Mary sue-ish in the manga because he feel so in the anime he has an annoying personalty ,I love yokai anime like Natsume and yokai apartment this show as well but Ashiya makes it so hard to get through the episodes honestly I guess I am only watching to find out more about Abeno

Hmm...Well, on sites like (https://mangarock.com/manga/mrs-serie-75920) 65 chapters are available as of now. Translations have almost caught up to the Japanese release schedule.

Ashiya as Mary Sueish? Why do you find him annoying? I don't find him annoying, but I admit he can be childish. What does Abeno call him? A 5-year old? The author said once her original MC was going to be Abeno, but she switched to Ashiya so he could be more relatable to the audience and to help introduce the yokai world, bit by bit. I think Abeno and Ashiya balance each other out. Ashiya comes off a lot more rounded in the manga vs. the anime because the pacing is better. That's how I see it. I saw the anime first, read the manga, and then loved the manga better. *haha*

Do you know Amatsuki? It's another drama with yokai but set in a historical world. You might like it better. It takes time, but the MC becomes more interesting over time. It's at 136 chapters and still going. Let me know if you try it out. :)

Wow, you replied so long ago & I missed it. Haha. But to answer your question about the transition, I think it was fine from what I can remember.

Anyways, I actually just finished this season, and I enjoyed it as much as the first. But I’ve also been working on reading the manga, & wow, they changed quite a bit at the end there.

Does abeno not have a family or background, cause he's always in school uniform n not doing anything else other than dealing with yokai. Strange nobody ever asks him. And why is he not hot wearing a sweater all the time.
