Well things keep leading back to John Walker. I feel so bad for that women in the hospital continuesly being murdered. This is so sickening, and the killers remember and take turns. Not even sure if all of this is real or in a well.

this is the first episode that wowed me, this is some mind bending shit. it's a stark contrast from all the id well symbolism stuff. felt like inception man. what is a reality and what is a dream.

Wow, the real world simulated. This is a big reference to Inception, but is such a great topic to explore. The fight with the challenger was great, what a muscular man, and he’s fast as hell, Sakaido confronted his future, kind of weird that the challenger didn’t try to take out his weapon, but who knows. Asukai resembles a creepy girl, we have to note some things, this is a well, so the psychic powers could no be real in the real world, as we could notice, she can transmit her mind momentarily and somehow, this entity known as John Walker calls serial killers during her dreams, so they can kill her. John Walker could be a real person in this well, and his similarities to Hayaseura could be a trick. So, many things could happen, Asukai disappeared, so I thought, if her powers were real, they’re the origin of the mizuhanome, the detectives enter to the wells like Sakaido to her dreams, which could be related with her presence and the relation to be a killer or have murderous intentions. John Walker is the one I cannot connect here, it got really complicated and interesting.

There seems to be one plot point I missed or misunderstood/failed to understand in this episode.

Narihisago told Fukuda when they were together in the first stage of the desert world well right outside the cockpit that was buried in the sand to hit eject in ten minutes, correct? Narihisago after entering a deeper layer regained his own real life memory including all previous well excursions and the above layer and recalled saying this to Fukuda eight minutes ago (There was even a brief flashback to the scene). He then concluded after seeing a clock that eight minutes had expired and realized he had only two minutes left before Fukuda would push eject as instructed. Later he is even shown outside the cockpit again with Fukuda in the desert.

So how is he or a version of him still walking around, sleeping, spending what seems like days and multiple nights or at least one night and many hours in that world with his wife, daughter, and the rest?

The only things I can think of are:

A) There are two versions of him split in the well now. One in that world that didn't get ejected back to the first layer in the desert when Fukuda pushed eject and one which did.

B) Much like the raw dream space at the bottom chaos level (or "limbo") of Inception, time passes much differently there. He could be there for what feels in subjective experience like days or weeks (or even months or years?) and only seconds to minutes would pass in the layer above as well as the real real (outside) world. He really was down there that long (how it seemed to him) and the scene with him and Fukuda in the desert by the cockpit is a flash forward to after he eventually ejects back to the first layer.

C) Plot hole/mistake (Doubt this)

Nobody is gonna mention how Sakaido actually made the serial killer kill himself. He's like the serial killer for serial killers.

I guess 10 min outside is alot slower inside the cockpit.
Either that or he's stuck.

Round 2 against the challenger seems pretty brutal compared to the speedrun of the first encounter. We got some inception level shit right here, really sad for Kiki there, I bet John walker used her to invite those people in order for them to become serial killers in real life. Seeing that the Mizuhanome is related to her I'm sure she is used in some way to make it work with some higher up (the John Walker guy) being involved in all this.

Interesting about also confusing.

I guess the Mizuhanome works using Asukai. Somehow she's being used by the machine by entering serial killers into her dreams, which is why only killers can enter the Mizuhanome. So she keeps dying and dying over and over again, being killed by serial killers every dream. That's quite a terrifying and chilling life to live.

Although it was serious, it was still pretty sad to see Narihisago living the life he lived before his family was destroyed, and then an alternate reality where they lived. His daughter and wife. Pretty depressing that nothing can be done for them.

This episode was amazing, it was confusing but it was amazing lmao. That fight with the challenger was awesome, plus the background music on that scene elevated it more.

Well that explains how the Mizuhanome works is that Kiki is involved in it somehow. Narihisago in a wheel chair is still intimidating as fuck, he even managed to death by suicide the face lifter again jeez. This show has really been fucking great, very underrated.

These episode sure was creepy at some scenes. That face lifter shit, and challenger shit maniac. Goddamned inhuman! Kaeru-chan was actually Kiki, and Director Momoka knew it from the beginning. Why he should keep it as a secret? John Walker true identity slowly revealed himself. But the way the episode visualized their thing surely insane at my understanding. For my sake, let just moved on to seeing the continuity of Narihisago madness over that Kiki's dream inside his the dream within an Ido-well inside another Ido-well. At another mind-blowing, where was Hondomachi? On to the next one!

Absolute goosebumps when Narihisago slips into his low voice while talking to serial killers! This was a really great episode and some intriguing themes have emerged. Is Kiki tied to Mizuhanome or is Kiki Mizuhanome herself...

This episode went Inception mode pretty much with some action packed combat in the middle with the Challenge and Narihisago. The song used in that fight, 'Revenge', is my favorite song I'd say from the show, shame it's not been released yet. Also nice seeing Narihisago humanized slightly a bit with getting to see his interactions with his wife and daughter in that world where his memories are still intact. John Walker really be sending serial killers to kill her each and every single night like that, and that ties to the real world eh.

I'd say this was the best episode so far from the show, which isn't quite saying much since I don't like this but this was decent enough to understand more about entities like John Walker's mindset and Kiki's side too. Nothing felt too forced or telegraphed or sluggish to get through for once (thank god), even if the episode didn't make me necessarily care more for the mysteries in general this show's offering.

Isn’t the other great detective so posed to pull him out in 10 minutes does time move differently when you enter a well in a well maybe but if you noticed if Narihisago killed the face killer he is considered a serial killer because the face killer hasn’t committed any real crimes at that time

This show just took such a dark turn, Especially the face-lifter scene at the end, that shit was gruesome, and so rewarding somehow.

sweet jeebus no wonder this girl waned to die. I cant imagine every time falling asleep would lead to me dying in some horrific way and being able to feel it over and over again. It seems like hes getting some wish fulfilment by killing these guys before they kill but man this must be torture for him still since its not real.

another wonderful episode. happy to see that it seems to get better and better each episode. the constant jumping between the timelines reminds me of Life is strange
i like how we're being fed little bits of information but still remain curious to continue watching.
i'm probably gonna binge the rest of this, it is addicting.
another very positive surprise, was not expecting this from the MAL score tbh.
the director of this show is something else.
