This was a very interesting episode. I'm surprised the sniper guy didn't ask to join the team lol but hey at least it all went well. I wonder how Sakamoto is going to recover his hand as the sniper round took a chunk out of his hand. Things are getting spicy every episode so I can only expect the next best thing! On to the next!

A new character, Heisuke, is introduced. He’s kinda dumb and slow, but that just adds to his charm since he has a kind heart.

He was mocked by others for not being good at anything, and even when he discovered he excelled at sniping, they still mocked him. That just made him more self-conscious.

The organization the sniper worked for are flat out idiots. So their process is give random jobs no matter what your specialty is? All that does is put everyone in danger. They have a top tier sniper and they just waste him when he could've helped in specific missions. I also thought he was going to be working for sakamoto by the end of the episode. I guess maybe later.

Whoever told me this is the anime equivalent of John Wick must be talking outta their ass. This is just another generic ass shonen. It even follows similar story beats to early 2000s shonen like early Bleach and Hitman Reborn.

Esse vilão tinha tudo pra ser excelente, mas foi só ok. No momento Sakamoto Days em si está sendo ok.

Shein version of Gon had such a sad backstory, I feel bad for my guy. Even though he's so stupid it makes him actually kinda cute. Plus I love his bird and he's a great shooter. I loved the part after the ED though, great to see those extra parts :3

Heisuke Mashimo and Piichiro make quite the duo. One scouts and the other one is the best sniper that Taro has ever encountered.

However, the dude is quite stupid. He wasn’t able to recognize Taro despite the fact that everybody else was able to do so regardless of the weight he’s put on. Shin immediately recognized him in the first episode for example. I would mention Dondenkai, but they had a picture of what Taro currently looks like.

So Taro, Shin, and Heisuke became Team Sakamoto for the Ikoraizaka Shopping Street Paintball Tournament in which due to their assassin experience, they had such an advantage over everybody else, who are just NORMAL PEOPLE. However, Lu got drunk, allowing Heisuke to figure out Taro’s actual identity and the actual fighting commences. We see Heisuke’s backstory in which we learn that his only skill is sniping and he sucks at everything else. Despite that, Taro acknowledged him and they still won the tournament. He only got 50 yen since his ricochet bullets wreaked havoc, and I’m guessing the rest had to go to repairing the town, so the renovations will have to wait.

We got to see a little more into how Taro and Aoi got together, but Taro had to make it clear to Shin that he can’t look into Aoi’s mind, which I think is a fair rule.

I’m excited to see what goes down next!

just clicked with me the joke about sakamoto killing Shin (but in his thought) was the whole concept of Dokuro-chan with more gore, lol.

Wow that call out from Lu was the most forced thing I've seen in anime. Like they couldnt have him find out Sakamoto is his targert in any other way then Lu literally spilling it for no reason. Rest of the episode was fine but damn that was such an eye roller. New guy was annoying as hell at first but ended up just aight by the end. A perfectly average one-off character.

Love seeing how Aoi and Sakamoto met. Aoi and Hana really are the purest angels in this universe.

The funny thing is that a Mosin–Nagant in the hands of a poor sniper makes sense. Until recently, Mosin–Nagant were very inexpensive in the U.S. Prices reached up to $100 per rifle, depending on their condition. Otherwise, it is a rifle with a fairly powerful cartridge, more or less accurate, not finicky, and not a pity to use. They often became the weapons of novice hunters and young fellows who wanted to shoot cans and bottles. The rifles themselves were of poor quality and not suitable for use as "sniper" rifles. Those used as such were selected from a large pool, modified, or manufactured by more competent individuals. By the way, getting an original optical sight for a Mosin–Nagant from World War II is a big problem. Significantly fewer were produced, and many were lost.
By the way, judging by its length, it's a carbine, not a rifle. There are all kinds of inaccuracies here, though. There is also no consistency in the depiction. The realism ends with the bullet flying out of the barrel. In fact, animators sometimes depict the entire cartridge flying out, along with the casing. The Japanese are very strict about weapons. That's why a stationery knife is often perceived as dangerous.
Glorious brilliant godlike autism.
