That alone makes the platform's security inadequate when it comes to storing such information, especially when they have no good reason to since they already ban kids under 13 from accessing the platform, so all the Gestapo-level things they come up with is to "protect" a tiny fraction of their userbase aged 13-17, which would probably be for the best if they prevent it from accessing the platform altogether if they really cared about protecting it. |

Ah I see. So they were already IDing people last year? Yes this is extremely dangerous the risks of ID programs. It makes people more at risk for identity theft. They don't care about "protecting" anyone but their own asses from bad PR on Xitter. |

Again, what you are claiming is not even possible in this instance. Discord also has many security features of its own, including end to end encryption with voice and video calls that makes it so that even Discord staff cannot see things. (Text is not fully encrypted, however, and they can definitely see messages that are reported.) There are thousands of pages worth of objective evidence you can look up, at any time, about how all this stuff works, including specifically with Discord. As for other apps recommending things, that is a result of their predictive algorithms and well-known online tracking methods like your browsing history, shared location with apps and so on. (Not them spying on your microphone without your permission, without any evidence of that.) |
