While I like this new development and still find this anime relatable as fuck, I can see where this is going... and I don't like where it is going after that. Because as it is now, I like the lesson of "Stand on your own feet and don't depend on others. You will only be betrayed." But they'll probably go for the "Just wait for the perfect girl to show up and your life will make a 180 for the better!" lesson...

Looks like the theory someone had that Misaki was just a figment of Sato's imagination turned out to be false. I actually liked that theory, even though I didn't believe in it. My theory is still that Misaki is just as messed up in the head as Sato (maybe minus the schizophrenic hallucinations and paranoia), and is pretty much looking for help just as much as Sato, but in her own way.

Overall I still like this show very much! It's definitely not easy to digest, but at the same time very entertaining and easy to watch... if that makes sense.

Stalking the stalker!

Satou's paranoia and trust issues are one thing - he just found out Misaki was seriously spying on him for some time, she's a member of some weird organization, she doesn't want to reveal anything about herself or her personal life... There's clearly a lot of room of doubt even for a normal person.

I loved this chapter, definitely one of the best so far, so psychological and realistic. I didn't quite like how in some chapters everything was going so "easy".

His paranoia is totally justified, "how come this girl i know nothing about know so much about me?" and all the sudden changes going on in his life, this is just the natural reaction for someone in his circumstance. And as someone in the first page said, yeah, most probably Sato's suffering from paranoid schizophrenia

Very emotional and overall amazing episode!
The series heavily focuses on this aspect of "conspiracies", which makes me believe that his paranoia is the conspiracy, the idea being the danger is coming from within him which was apparent from the very start of the series.

I can't wait for him to overcome this!

You know I'd say why'd he leave her, but then again he really doesn't have reason to trust her. He doesn't know her, unlike the senpai and Yamazaki.

Aside from Yamazaki finding out that his 'girlfriend' is not actually his. This ep is quite a huge turning point!

Due to Sato's increasing affection for Misaki, he naturally fell in love with her. But Sato is not stupid to think it's all fine. Not knowing almost anything about Misaki, it's also normal to begin suspect who she actually is. Although due to Sato's delusion of the NHK, it ofc led him to believe this love is a weapon of betrayal for the future...

It doesn't help it when eventually he found out that Misaki can literally look outside of her mansion and be able to view the park and Sato's apartment. Sato's anger is acceptable here, but woah. The way he straight up saying to Misaki that he doesn't want to see her face anymore... That's gotta be painful for Misaki.

This may be a path for some huge character development for Sato.

Yamazaki got cucked and Satoueft his main trigger to change his life, because talking furniture and household goods told him to do it. I bet the fact she stalked him was only a small reason in all of it.

Basically he ain't a hikikomori. He just suffers greatly from paranoid schizophrenia and indefinite (as for now) personality disorder.

I think it was important to get this setback, character and story need it. Otherwise it would be one of those stories where the setting gets betrayed, he showed like 2 instances of having problems before this compared to well all the times he went out.

And it really is fishy that Misaki knows so much about him. Even if she can see the park (which was kinda implied before) or his room, how does she know his birthday etc? And she really didnt give him any information so far.

My first reaction to "if you dont fall in love you dont get hurt" was also sensing a red flag, but thats not really the issue here. It clearly is how onesided this relation is.

Honestly I was hoping this show wouldnt go down the main girl like main boy for no reason route, should have been his senpai over time if anything. But there are still a lot of episodes left so whatever.

PS: regarding this whole hikikomori thing. I know japan doesnt really care much for psychological issues, but it clearly looks like a serious case of depression to me.

Oh this episode was a roller-coaster which really knocked out both our boys after the progress they were gradually making. Yamazaki gets his heart broken (again) and Sato succumbs to his insecurities, thereby making both protagonists more relatable.

I enjoyed all the new questions that this episode poses:

  1. Is the conspiracy all in Sato's head?
  2. How does Misaki know so much about Sato and why is she so interested in him?
  3. What is her background?

I'm actually torn on how I want this show to end. On the one hand, I'd actually like it if Sato and Yamazaki help each other out, finish their game and find a sense of self worth in their own accomplishments rather than having to find it through their partners, but I'm also interested in seeing how both their love lives turn out. Love this show.

Well it's not like he was gonna get more optimistic and overcome his anxiety overnight. I feel quite bad for him honestly. Maybe I'm wrong about Misaki being bad but she's still so suspicious because she may have been spying on him all this time for god knows what.

and nanako why the f did she do that. We need to know why and whether she is so keen to use yamazaki as a play tool.

i hope he investigate more rather than give up.

Yes. I think the actual N.H.K may be them, plotting to keep him a prisioner for life.
Lol.

Creepy that Yamazaki is basing his character on Nanako. She is going to be creeped out lmao

Why doesn't he write scripts based on what he should've done with Misaki? He's so simple minded /:

Sato's toes are built of steel fr

When is Sato going to notice his missing figure?

Edit: rewatching this episode because I forgot what was going on

- Bro he said "even if you give it food, it'll immediately forget all about you" and proceeds to think "Yikes! That was too cynical. I don't intend to say things like that!" I hate how much I relate to him.

Why does he listen to his friend and his damn furniture?

Dang, he really just decided to leave her. (For now..)

But that's really the situation when it comes to being enclosed from the world and feeling anxious when seeing things from a negative perspective.

Misaki even mentioned that one should think positively for things to be okay.

Something that I have noticed about Satou's furniture is that it consists of items that people would use to keep themselves locked up inside as couch potatoes: a computer, TV, Refrigerator, AC, etc. How this everyday furniture is portrayed shows how these items can be dangerous to people if overused and a way to completely escape the real world. The very thought of thinking oneself to be a 'hikikomori' is also more of a mental problem people assume when they feel isolated from the world.

By the end of the episode, Satou even thinks, 'Was that the right thing to do?' This shows that he has some sense of regret for the action he just took because his thoughts of isolation got the better of him.

I'm definitely interested in how he'll face the problem over the next couple of episodes.

The story is very much a rollercoaster just like a lot of relationships. Honestly Kaoru is such a negative influence depending on the day. I guess overall he is a positive influence on Satou and keeps him somewhat close to reality. The misaki discovery kind of reminds me of the female from Oyasumi Punpun. Misaki probably feels separated from other people around her age like Satou, because her mother is well known in the area as being one of the religious people that knocks on your door. If someone is different people tend to stay away or assume things. They came out around the same time so I doubt there was copying of an idea not like it's that different.

This point is very much a low point in there relationship I assume and its only up from here.

Okaaay. Nice episode.

Realizing that she's been watching him all this time is more than enough to creep out, let alone the cult thing. Girl also knows his dob and blood type, like??? I'm standing with furniture on this one.

It would be cool if he confronted her and tried to actually learn who she is but Satou is not that guy, of couse people will complain but it would be unreasonable if he did that considering the person he's been for years.

Now I'm not watching this just to complete but I actually wonder where this is going.

Yokoso… yami no sekai e!

Finally, the classic episode of misunderstanding is here. And its true she didn't tell Satou anything about her and like a stalker watching him from the high castle. I just hope it gets sorted out soon and they both get to keep their sides. BTW the pacing is perfect and the romance is actually developing very nicely.

Also, this scene was too funny haha. The way he is grabbing the shelf with his toes lol 😂
