| I really liked this one, definitely one of my favorites so far. So it looks like they hit some monument with their car and I’m imagining it upset some god which released flies that possess you onto the hospital, perhaps even beyond that. Or if you want to go a more logical route, this is a bio-weapon gone wrong and we have a Resident Evil situation going on with these flies infecting people, either way it’s a spooky situation. And besides what’s happening, I did really like the creepiness of this one, the mom ravenously eating that meat and then the dog later was pretty disturbing, and of course the flies added to the creep factor as well. Well done episode imo. |
| I don't think listening to the advice of the doctor not to visit his mom would've changed the outcome. They were screwed the moment they crashed into that shrine. |

| Doesn't really seem like there was much point to that "No Visitor" sign when only Yoshinobu seemed unaffected, and I do wonder why they took their time infesting him. I'm not sure why Yami Shibai would think it's a good idea to rely on it's animation of all things to sell the horror but the fly.png zooming around the screen kinda diffused the tension with how silly it looked. Although tbf, for Yami Shibai standards the animation when the mom was eating the meat was good. I also thought the sound direction for the episode here was good, but overall didn't care much for it. |
