| Strong How ? Militarily, no they don't have a military or nukes, they only have self defense forces. Economically, yes for its size and population japan is the fifth biggest economy on earth. Culturally, Hard to quantify but japan has a prolific culture that is exported to the world through anime and food. Animation, strongest in 2D animation yes, but 3D animation japan is still weak compared to the us, china and korea, even europe in some cases. |

While Japan is doing great economically since it's the 5th largest economy in the world, and its culture is known and enjoyed worldwide (such as through anime and Nintendo), at the same time, Japan doesn't even have a military, the closest they have is self defense forces. Their birth rate is at an all time low, the total number of births isn't even 700,000. Not to mention their education and work cultures can be very demanding and toxic. |

| @Shizuna Yes that is true. A lot of the media i enjoy comes from Japan whether it be anime, manga, videogames etc. Not to mention i love a lot of traditional Japanese aesthetics, architecture, folklore and history. |
