I know this thread has been around some time already, but...
Well, I only watched that episode yesterday and found it disturbingly close to the end of TTGL, especially regarding the fact that it's about 2 years older.

But I had the laughter attack of my life, so worth it...

Oh, btw, the other half of the episode... Approaching the feast, having a crewmember turned into a messenger... That was so Star Trek: The movie (the very first one) inspired. A threat from space that is found out to be originated from earth itself etc.

LOL'd at evangelion robot... so much parody in this episode i think. but the space scene is just too serious i think
