| This is embarrassing to ask, but I think I need some clarification on how exactly these challenges' tracking works? I'm new to the club in general... I'm not one to try and stress about getting certain anime done in time for a challenge or anything, but I knew I was already tackling the Pokemon franchise as a personal goal, so I joined just to try and add this, assuming it just keeps tabs on everything I'm already logging. I'm starting B&W, so you can imagine I'm already a hefty ways into this. (Plus keeping up to date with current releases, & all the other odds and ends in the DB I could find.) The constant turn-ins sound like a pain, but at one point you also mention this: Alternatively, you may log in via MAL. I actually found the Hall of Fame site first via the interest stacks I'm using, and I fiddled around a bit and figured out how to let it scan my entries to update the checklist. Here's what I currently have ready for turn-ins: List of Series - Original (21/21) HoF Checklist Dates before club, most recent finished is 2025-03-16 List of Series - Advance (12/12) HoF Checklist Starting Date: pre-dates club/logging Ending Date: most recent entry was "2025-07-22" because the HoF site clued me in on a singuar required entry I was missing and had to search up List of Series - DP (13/14) HoF Checklist Starting Date: technically I watched the darkrai movie a good while before anything, before club and no date logged Ending Date: today, 7/23/2025 But I don't think I'm completely clear on if there's a way to "turn-in" for challenges from the Hall of Fame site itself? If it can track which ones you've completed already, it seems just convenient and doable for it to check that a checklist has been filled out too... There are at least a couple of series completion lists I believe I'm eligible for too, like I think I just made a turn-in for Jojo & Hunter x Hunter, among a bunch of others that the tracking told me I was already eligible for. A helping hand would be appreciated, if there was something technical like that that I missed. And uuhhhh, yeah, bit of an elephant in the room, but I hit some snags using your required-watch checklists for this challenge: For one, while I also hit a number of Bonus entries because I'm not afraid to look online for entries that were never released in the US, I assumed that the ones that are JP-only that are given the "not in english" tag on the HoF site and checklist, but a number of the ones actually required seem to be among them too. Most recently for my watch was the DP Specials that came after the finale, the ones that showed Dawn and Brock living life after separating from Ash. So a little inconsistency there? And very specifically, you'll see that my DP list is only at 13/14... and idk how I'd fix that tbh. It'd be one thing if it was also on the "Bonus" part of the challenge checklist, but the "Clip Show" has been evading me this whole time. Before looking at the AWC challenge and tackling this on my own, I initially dropped it without another thought, thinking it was another entry in the franchise that was elusive/lost, even subbed. And seeing it required for this challenge, I poked around and can't find it on the same sites, not even fan resources like Bulbapedia or streaming sites focused on Pokemon specifically. The closest I can find to a Diamond and Pearl "clip show" are either the Specials I mentioned before, or a couple recap episodes that are a part of the 191-main episode count and shouldn't be a separate entry. Some discussion also described the "Clip Show" as mostly Kanto/Johto, speeds through Hoenn, and maybe teases Sinnoh? Which strikes me as familiar for a recap special that I already logged at some point, maybe connected to the Advanced era? Just a theory I have, going by how little I'm seeing a reference to an actual "Diamond & Pearl: Clip Show". Either way, I can't say I agree with not having this under bonus criteria at least. At most, the entire page for this entry may be an unintentional duplicate on the site, idk. |
