They announced during a livestream that a new project for Date A Live is in production. Most likely either Date A Live VI or a movie that adapts the rest of the light novels. This is great news! I didn't think they would actually do it.

It’s just a new project, it doesn’t say anything about an anime. So it could just be a new LN or maybe a game or something.

I feel like if it was an anime, it would be announced as an anime project

Edit: in the announcement video, they say TV Anime has a new project but on the tweets, it doesn’t mention anime, so I guess it is a new anime maybe idk

If you watch the video I linked it they specifically say that the TV anime for Date A Live is getting a new project. So whatever this ends up being, it's definitely a part of the anime series.

@FlyingDunsparce yeah that’s what I mentioned. I didn’t see that video until after I posted and then I watched and made the edit. On Twitter where I first saw the announcement, they didn’t say “アニメ” in the posts at all so I just thought I was a new LN project or something.

No way a movie can adapt rest of the series, so TV it is. I mean, even cutting content vigorously won't make it because Vol 20 is different from 21 and 22. Also they adapted Vol 17-19 (3 volumes) in V, so I don't see them cutting stuff anyway.

When was the last time an anime project stopped adapting material after covering nearly 90% of it? Pretty curious.

@ani2016
The crystal shown in the visual might shows a teaser to the sequel because volume 20 relates to the crystal.

I only saw some summary to see what the crystal was about. It might be a final sequel, but we will find out later.

@Homura24 They've adapted 19 of the 22 volumes of the light novel. So there are still 3 volumes to adapt.
