I believe people from older generations and people from large subsets of society still frown upon anime... ☹️
Why are people still brainwashed to hate anime??? Fear of losing societal status maybe? Don't they realize Japan is the best country in the world and anime is much more preferable to other aspects of life?

People still regularly shame me in youtube comments for my anime pfp. For some reason I find it heartwarming.

At least no matter where I go it don't seem shunned in canada. Heck even saw someone with a ahegao shirt at the bus station with no reaction.

@Otakupervert890 Just because they don't say anything doesn't mean they aren't laughing at you behind your back.

Anime is basically the most pedo thing on the Internet, without being real cp. It is obvious anime is basically a legal loophole to watch pedophile content. In recent years, thanks to advancements in computer technology, the hentai looks (almost) indistungishable from the real pedo content. So there is hardly any difference between watching a hentai compared to a real cp. So does anime sound suspicious enough to you?
Here is my Pixiv account of my hentai drawings.....

@thewiru any similarity to other posters' threads is simply coincidental. I don't even read or respond to your threads anymore, you need to make them shorter and more to the point with less unnecessary personal information.

@Otakupervert890 maybe people just mind their own business in canada?

Might as well use the opportunity: Anime (And otaku culture as a whole) proves how people are HOARDERS.
You ask them to simply get rid of unnescessary things in order to immerse themselves in it, but then they act like you're asking them to kill their children.

"Ehrm, this has le incest in it, I can't consu-"
Dude, just grow a fucking pair, lmao.

Anime is like poison - if you take it in micro doses since childhood (or just for a long time), then eventually you stop being sensitive to it. But when an ordinary person comes across it - it is absolutely obvious that there is a huge portion of everything that can terrify them))

So yes, as an anime fan, I don't think disrespect for anime is unjustified.

@Zarutaku But the vast majority of anime is actually made for children (mostly teenagers).

And the beauty of it is that this "children's content" is often so good that it is watchable even for a fully grown person. Isn't it?

There are groups that don't really like women being outside unaccompanied. 😂

I'm being facetious, but my point is that for almost everything, you'll find individuals and, in most cases, entire groups, who don't approve of it. Anime is more acceptable than it's pretty much ever been. Things aren't really that bad.

Not sure why when there are worse fans of other media out there.

You've got sports fans who trash stadiums, go on parades when their team wins, overreacts whenever someone talks shit about their favorite team, and so on.
