I hope you could also recommend to me songs from an anime wherein you could actually feel the "personality" or "trope" of the singer or the band by the song that they are singing. Here's one example from Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Season 2 with Lanzhu Zhong just being her competent and confident self which emanates so much with her music and performance.

I'm recommending Sora to Utsuro by sasanomaly! It's the Vanitas no Carte opening, and it's stuck in my head since watching the anime. I love the melody and beat, it's perfect to listen to during a commute!

@CapnHK I love Wotakoi, the opening is super iconic! I also really enjoyed Chainsaw Man! A song I like that might have a similar vibe to the one you shared is out by polkadot stingray. It's a bit more upbeat than the Chainsaw Man ending, but I think you might like it for the guitar!

Since you're mainly listening to Japanese songs from what I see, I'll share some of my favorites with you ^^

First one: I discovered this band thru my Japanese friend ^^ and I know it isn't Christmas yet but this is my fav song of theirs hahaha:

Second one: I just saw that you already watched Tasogare Out Focus on your anime list, but I just have to share this song, I've seriously been obsessed with it, it just makes me feel some unkonwn (to me at least) emotions 😩

@snw666 If you like violins and other traditional instruments then you may like Mili songs. They're a great band that love violin and pianos! They also did music for Goblin Slayer. Here's one of my favorite instrumental tracks and one with the singer.




As for me, I've been listening to screamo and shoegaze as of late. It's neat.

I'd like to share this song by Toby Fox and Itoki Hana, yes that Toby Fox, it is a very beautiful interpretation joined by an amazing animated visual story.

I like cool slow beat song in general. Something I would everyone to try to listen to are from nqrse (read: naruse). He is an utaite (Japanese internet singer) and a really good rapper.
