| Jigoku Shoujo is very 2000s. The premise is great but the animation is stiff, the writing is stiff, the dialogue is stiff... The execution is just really poor in general. All those early digital era shows are ugly af, but this one is especially bland visually. Can't wait to finish it and go watch the (superior, I hope) Kyuuketsuhime Miyu TV show. Acro Trip is... somewhat funny, somewhat charming, very hit or miss like most modern anime comedies. It does look extremely cheap tho, which kinda hurts after watching Wonder Egg Priority. Ninja Cats started very boring, but rn it's somewhat decent if you only watch 1 or 2 eps a day. It'd be funnier if it didn't believe "haha he's crossdressing" is an actual joke. |

| I'm watching quite a few shows at the moment, but I started Onimai the other day and it's been really good so far. I expected to be more uncomfortable from the whole forcefem premise but it's actually a really feel-good series, though it's so feel-good that I have trouble binging it even when I really want to lol (it's so sugary sweet I can't take it!). I was expecting Mahiro to be more uncomfortable with the whole nonconsensual sex change thing but I think they like it so I guess it's chill? Animation and music's really good too, half the reason I wanted to watch the show was because the opening got stuck in my head several times. I also really love the dopey smiles everyone has in the ED... Also trying to get through Ace wo Nerae! at a steady pace, I have kinda mixed feelings on it. The adaptation looks beautiful and Hiromi's really starting to grow on me as a character, but some of the drama feels forced and certain characters can be annoying. The art can also look a bit goofy, especially the straight front views of character's faces lol. I'm still enjoying it though, but I find it really hard to watch for some reason... something about its pacing feels kinda slow, I guess? In a bad way. I think I'll be glad I watched it because of its role in anime history but I won't really look back on it fondly when I finish it. |

| @KaiservonKorea I always keep checking https://www.productionig.com/contents/works/ to see if it's out yet... They've not released a single work this year. It might be the first year since 88' they release nothing I fear. I understand the level of animation they do takes time but... unless they're actually cell shading (which I doubt) it's quite shocking to me. They were doing so well pre-COVID. Heck they were on fire practically. |

Currently half way through season 2. Finally, I'm watching Kyou Kara Maou and Astroboy (60's) as my "I don't really wanna do anything besides get cozy in bed lol" anime I just watch whenever. |

| Just tried starting Romeo x Juliet. I might actually want to rewatch a production of the Shakespeare play that it's inspired by, before watching this. Because I'm curious how the characters map to this totally new setting. They've obviously introduced a number of unique elements, beyond just being in floating castles and -- for example, Verona isn't just home to two rival noble families and ruled by a neutral Prince; in this version, the Montagues basically murdered all the Capulets and control Verona. Also I'm not quite feeling the vibe of continuing just yet. If anything I might actually go watch the Gundam series The Witch from Mercury next. I'm kinda feeling that. Maybe. |

Every time I think it can't get cooler than this the plot manages to pull out something crazier. And the music is superb too, the whole thing was made with love and it shows |

| Currently watching Tokyo Revengers, Anne Shirley, Kijin Genjoushou, Kowloon Generic Romance, Season 2 of Apothecary Diaries, and Lazarus. Latter five are leftovers of my Spring anime viewing, with Kijin and Anne Shirley looking like they'll be airing into the upcoming Summer season. Far as enjoyment, would at least say I'm liking Anne Shirley, Kowloon, and Apothecary. I'm underwhelmed with Lazarus, but plan to stick with it as the last episode airs this upcoming weekend. |
