What is your all time single favorite video game?

For me it’s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time — the world, music, and sense of adventure just hit perfectly. I love how timeless the mechanics feel, and the soundtrack still gives me chills. It’s special because it set the standard for 3D action-adventure games.

While I don’t think it’s the best video game I’ve played, Pokemon black 2 is my favorite video game and is up there for the goats. I know everyone has said already this game is peak, but it really is. I replayed it last summer (I think?) as I played it as a kid and didn’t remember much from it other than begging my dad to buy it for me and getting stuck at one part, and it was so much better than I remember! The story is fantastic and the characters are all so interesting, seriously it’s nice seeing a rival have character growth and a main goal rather than just “I’m going to be Pokemon champion and I’m better than you”.

I also love legend of Zelda oot, puyo puyo, Shantae half genie hero, and animal crossing new leaf.

I loved that game so much I gave up on Pokemon then and there, because I couldn't bear the thought that the next game would be worse.

Since you're interested in playing gen 5, I have to warn you that the story is only good by the usual low standards of Pokemon. Coliseum and XD have above average stories as well. If you want to play Pokemon for the story, Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky is the best BY FAR. It has an anime that covers the very beginning of the game, and a 2nd anime that covers events much later on.

I'd also like to ask Slayers, are all the Pokemon anime you've seen on your list? I recommend the 3rd movie if you haven't seen it. Since it's by the writer of the previous movies, it should be just as enjoyable.

I didn't think the Pokemon company had standards to begin with. I just never played gen 5, and if it has a decent story in Pokemon standards why not try it?

It is all the Pokemon anime I've seen on the list, most of which I watched like 20 years ago. As much as I enjoyed the two Pokemon Movies I did watch, they were always badly written in my opinion. But if I run by it and have the time I'll give it a go.

You have some real good games in there, never had the OG Xbox but I'd watch or play on my cousins same with the Gamecube. Halo 2 was awesome, wish I kept Heartgold I never played. Seems you missed out on the first Star Wars Battlefront, but I guess the 2nd was better. Played like two Tony Hawk pro skaters, never kept up but the first one is a classic. Luigi's mansion was a lot of fun, just couldn't see any replay value. Amazing you grew up with so many consoles, I just had the old reliable PS2 & GBA SP(for some reason the batteries still work so far).

So you were on web in the 2000s, there were way too many browser games in that era. I mainly experienced those old flash games. I think I know what wizards101 is, toontown maybe?

Ah the 360 great times, did you ever participate in the golden era of Halo 3 custom games? GTA IV > V great game for goofing off, oh no you played Fable 3 hope it wasn't a terrible time. Good old Skyrim king of its time, had to get rid of mine because of Skyrim addiction. First Black ops was fun, you or your friends ever discover item duplication on the 360 Minecraft (the TNT was a mistake)? Ever play Hexic or Castle Miner on the 360?

Only know of Smash Bros brawl and that pointless Links crossbow training for the Wii. Was shooing in WAW fun with a Wii controller?

Dang I didn't play any of those PC games, but you mentioned roguelites ever play Shape of Dream? I think that's a rougelite game idk.

THE STANLEY PARABLE (Ultra Deluxe)! I absolutely love the humour and the different endings throughout the game and obviously the choise to either follow or disobey the narrator is forever such a treat. Kevan Brighting is such a phenominal voice actor, I cold listen to him for HOURS as the narrator, and the Ultra Deluxe version gives me JUST THAT! There is no real story and the gameplay isn't super intense or anything, but it truly doesn't have to be. It's just so fun to replay the game over and over again to see what different endings I can get, even if I change just a tiny thing about what I'm doing. Truly a peak experience.
