| Since no one's made a discussion post after over a month I guess I'll carry enough discussion for two and take it upon myself to type up whatever's on my mind from reading this chapter. Welp it's the inevitable breakup scene. The chains forming out of Reo's heart...it really highlights how much Nagi leaving hurt him emotionally. I've seen people who believe that Reo only saw Nagi as some kind of "possession" and idk how anyone could still think that after this. RIP happy Reo, I guess I won't be seeing you in the next 2+ years. T-T The biggest thing that's surprised me is how Nagi here already realized that Reo would be angry at him for leaving him...I always had the impression he just lacked total empathy and social awareness, similar to how he didn't seem to understand why Isagi got so pissed when he questioned him during the Team V vs. Team Z match. From the main story, I thought Nagi only realized it after the bath tub scene. But it looks like he left Reo knowing all that...damn, his communication skills really are on par with a cactus's. On the bright side, there's that one panel with Kiyora, Kurona, and Igaguri. Really looking forward to seeing Kiyora finally play, and I hope this is a sign that we'll be able to see some of Reo's matches, too, considering the latter two are part of his team. And Zantetsu, can't wait to see him again! I hope the next chapter(s) won't show the entire Isagi v. Rin 3v3 match...it made sense for Team V vs. Team Z since it's basically the main cause of Nagi's curiosity igniting to improve, but these next few matches in the second selection don't matter nearly as much...aside from Nagi getting a pass from Bachira and the first goal against Barou, I guess. |
