Fetishizing Yuri. If guys can enjoy romance between 2 girls due to having an open mind, then there's no reason why they can't do the same for Yaoi, but no, they don't (well, I don't either, but neither do I like Yuri). I don't understand what's so "hot" about 2 girls hooking up.

| There's a trend of sexual assault in BL and other anime aimed at female audiences that I find disturbing. There's assault in Yuri as well, so I really don't get why gay relationships are so strongly associated with assault; while it seems not to be such a constant theme in str8 romance (I could be wrong? I just don't see it as much) The same audiences also have a fetish for gruesomely tall, lanky characters with awkwardly long limbs and really ugly faces, and the men in most female oriented manga are dressed like office workers and look like they're 30 when they're in high school. I do not find that appealing. |
