@RobertBobert no ,I would say "it's a show for kids so the quality will be specially handcrafted towards kids" and the quality (taking kids into acc) should be best it can be regards to kids content.

@Destined321 What you're implying then is that the average mecha fan is only interested in cool robots, ignoring the actual plot of the show. This is quite insulting, especially since you are trying to use it as a defense.

The thing is what is there to speculate about? It's not like it is an announcement for entire new project
Well, it is an Original Project that evidently didn't develop into an content machine (I feel like there was a not high chance for that to happen anyway)
This thread responses is just about how shit it was or general diappointment when that's often not that important. (just recycled stuff, to be fair that isn't exclusive to Aldnoah. Zero)
It has enough Captured Value for the producers to make a commemoration in animated form which is pretty novel, as I already mentioned

@Flick_on Once again, why can't people speculate about things, especially if it's a rare update years later? Sounds like "I'm personally not interested in this, so others shouldn't discuss it" level of logic.

This is among my first mecha anime and it holds a special place in my heart. Im so happy they announced something new for it, even if its just a compilation. I thought this was dead!

This was, in my opinion to me at least, an amazing anime with an amazing story and ost. Its really unique and I love it until end of times.

i truly hope they remake it or even continue it in some form!

I actually really loved this show but I can't imagine where a sequel could possibly take it. The earthnoids have received the gift of aldnoah so a new season would be just another gundam-style earthnoids vs spacenoids real robot series.

I'm expecting 24.5 to just be a one-off epilogue to give additional closure and sell more blu-rays than they would've without it. Aldnoah was a good series but the primary conflict is entirely resolved by the end.

Slaine is my favorite character of all time. Literally the love of my life and I even got his name tattooed. Still, I don't even know how I feel about this. It's kind of unnecessary?

From my understanding (gathered long before this was even announced), "episode 24.5" is mainly just some short dialogue taking place in the "prison", so what exactly is a whole movie going to cover? A reanimated recap like what Naruto had?
