This is the manhwa version of Dan Da Dan. I have watched the anime adaption of Dan Da Dan, and this manhwa has similar vibes.

We have an action-adventure where ML & FL fighting off the supernatural with some comedy & romance to top it off. There are some emotional/heart wrenching scenes, just like in Dan Da Dan. (The type of humor is significantly different where there are no type of jokes about bananas and what not in the Legend of Dangun.)

It is a fun manhwa, and if you don’t like it after the first chapter, give it a few more and I’m sure you will ... be hooked.

I can't believe this has no reviews as of 51 released chapters. It's honestly peak and I'm only giving it a 9/10 because it's still ongoing and there are still many ways to fuck it up.

Anyway, this manhwa has very good humor. Most jokes are honestly unexpected and will almost certainly make you laugh out loud. This humor contrasts with the darkness of the world building, and it doesn't take anything away from it.

The story is very immersive from the very first chapter, and as the chapters go on it kind of naturally builds up to something bigger and bigger and bigger, and this is ... what keeps you engaged. Every chapter, even one that's mostly slice-of-life, feels like is serves a purpose in the grand scheme of things and to build up the next adventure of the leads. And whenever a side-character gets a proper introduction (meaning they're not just a background character), they're always interesting in one way or another.

Honestly, I can't praise thing manhwa enough. People could criticize it for being similar to Dandandan, which would be fair, however it's still fundamentally different. While in Dandandan the entire tone of the manga is purposefully ridiculous, in Legend of Dangun the general tone of the manga is serious, but it's some of the characters that act in ridiculous ways and make you laugh, and there are some characters that are always serious which keeps the tension up.

Definitely worth reading. It's honestly pretty refreshing to read something with peak world building and peak humor. Can hardly imagine someone reading this and thinking that they've wasted their time.

In a preliminary standpoint, this series is a great mix of shounen and shoujo. The romance in this is so good and cute. The authors really display it well. The shounen and action scenes are impeccable as well (as per usual action manhwas). There's not much fanservice for dudes (except for the goth spider lady ig), but the dudettes got hot hunks all around.

The weapon the FL uses is cute cuz its a ruler and pencil. You don't see that often. But i would like to note that the FL is one of those FL's that does not really fit into the baddass FLs trope. ... She's cute and not at all masculine or brash which is very refreshing to see. She's a high school girl in a romance manhwa that feels like a shounen hero. I love it.

The story is very touching and the author rly did put an effort in worldbuilding including the backstories of minor characters (wonderful!)

Overall great series if you like action and cute romance mixed into one pot.
