Synopsis

Dooshik is in a bind. After making off with the takings from the gay bar where he worked, he seeks refuge in a small, coastal town. As his funds dwindle, he desperately needs a way to make ends meet. Still, a boy's gotta eat! So he dives into a clam house to satisfy his cravings. But with no money to pay, he dashes off leaving Jooha, the server, to foot the bill. Later on, when Dooshik returns to pay his debt, he's greeted by a sordid scene that offers a tantalizing glimpse of the solution to his money problems. For within Jooha's beautiful shell lies a secret treasure waiting to be drawn out. And Dooshik is just the man to do it.

I recommand reading this cause its a wholesome, partly realistisk and well put together story.

And with that i mean:
You will not be able to lay this series to rest, it sucks you in to this world where you feel connected to the characters with well characters build and develoment. Its filled with action, love, tears, exciment and humor, and i honestly wish they could have made an anime or a movie of this one. Its dark and contains dark moments, some psychologcial plot twist as well which i love.

The Pearls makes it very unrealistic but yet speical, but what i liked which were realistic ...

Pearl Boy is frustrating because it gave me blue balls and the ending pissed me the fuck off.

The last season is full of constant whiplash moments, it keeps getting darker and darker until it feels like you missed a chapter somewhere because how tf did we get to this point. Why is this a action series now, I thought this was a drama?

Most of the side characters that were prominent at during S1 and S2 get completely shoved to the side or their little subplots just seem to have been forgotten. SPEAKING OF FORGETTING, wtf happened to Dooshik midway through??? Again it feels like I ...

aside from the constanly great art, there are a lot of issues I have with pearl boy but my biggest one by far is that it doesn't seem to know what kind of story it wants to tell or what it wants to be. we're constantly switching between two extremes; namely "someone gets raped/abused/assaulted/abducted" and "everything is sunshine and rainbows" (the rest of it is literally just Dooshik and Jooha fucking). it is also always Jooha who is suffering the most without any purpose except for cheap shock value (I'm talking about being 70 chapters into the story and he STILL gets gang-raped????). the resulting, ...
