Synopsis

Joining the Military Police has provided Annie Leonhart with a quiet life within the walls. However, not everything is as tranquil as it might seem. Tormented by her past sins, Annie must carry out a personal mission—and failure is not an option.

While trying to deal with the growing pressure, she is asked by her roommate Hitch Dreyse about returning an old favor by looking into the case of Carly Stratmann, the missing daughter of an influential trading company president. Despite initially being reluctant, Annie accepts the offer, believing that the investigation will serve as a distraction from her inner struggles.

Meanwhile, Mikasa Ackerman begins to reminisce about her past and ponders what her childhood could have been like in a world free of Titans.

My God.
It might be because of the last chapter that wasn't adapted, I think this Manga did it much better than the Anime OVA's. If these 10 chapters were contained in the original Manga, then Mikasa and Annie might've not gotten so much hate from the pro-fapping animanga incel weeb consumers that constantly misunderstand AoT and its' characters.
This is genuinely amazing character building and a great dive in torwards the psychology of Annie and Mikasa, that further aknowledges and portrays Mikasa Ackerman's cold, yet sensitive soul, with Annie Leonhart's being sharp, but extremely sensitive. Enjoyable side story, among the better manga spin-offs to a popular franchise. Well, I say manga, but it’s a bit more complicated – the first two stories were originally short visual novels bundled as a bonus with blu-ray of Attack on Titan series. The 3rd story was included in a book compilation of novelization of the previous two stories. So this is really part visual part light novel adaptation side story.

Anyway, you want to hear about the content, right? The stories are about the titular lost girls – Annie and Mikasa, arguably fan favourites among the female part of the cast.

At first I always wondered where the wikipedia got the idea about Annie's past about her father since in the anime there's only a glimpse of it. But then I read this.

I like it really. Since in both the anime and maga, Annie barely showed up. You'll just see her in the side, in the corner, standing alongside the others, other than she's not really noticed. Excluding the Female Titan part and the part where they are already hunting her down. She's pretty much got the spotlight.
