Oh, I see, glad to hear I got it right, lol! Is the pier also a tourisitc destination? I feel history wise it might be interesting, lol..^^3 That's old for me, lol, you joined at least 5 years before me so that's old for me..x'D I saw it a couple times before with the Wayback Machine. Pretty cool, but also confusing tbh, since there wasn't as many functions as before..

Two of them are engaged afaik, but we still hang out from time to time. Ig it would depend on the type of concert too, since my friends are more into Rave types of music and while I like EDM, I've never gone to a concert for one before. I'm not sure?? I mean, its not unheard of for people to get married right after HS or in their early adulthood, but I feel like its still rare. Most people get married and have kids in their late 20s/early 30s these days tbh. That makes sense, its a huge financial responsibility to have kids, especially with the cost of life not going down since a few years, say even decades now.. :/ Yeah, its nothing that stops me from living life, lol, but it also means I need to be careful not to push myself too much either..=v='3 Part of the reason why I had been looking for casual or part time work was because I understood my body enough to know I couldn't start with a full time position, and well, might as well break the news now, but I got hired last month for a casual position, so things are looking up now! I haven't even told my IRL friends about it yet, but now that I'm thinking about it, I really should, eh?^^'>3 I'm not starting yet as I still have training and paperwork to get through, but it should be soon! I'm quite excited to start that next step of my life tbh!XD
Ohh, I've heard how it is in China, but I assume its similar in HK as well? Well as long as you're happy in life, you shouldn't worry how others see you, right? I feel like your situation is a bit similar to the MC of Hirayasumi. We have kept a lot of similar interests over the years. My friends only watch a bit of anime here and there, but ig so do I these days, lol, so it shouldn't matter too much on that aspect, lol.^^3
More than that, I think its similar to you, in the fact that we really wanted to experience what Japan as to offer IRL and enjoy the things they do in anime as well, lol (though that last part is more of a nice bonus than a need, I feel). The OG plan was to take the night train as a group and go to a couple ryokans across northern Honshu. Idk what we'd do nowadays tbh, but I'd be interested in doing that as well, lol!:)

Wdym marriage is more likely in my country, lol?^^'3 And no, they haven't bought a property yet, but one of my friends planned to get married this year. I should get in touch with them soon and ask them if that is still ongoing or not. I feel like I'm a little ashamed to talk to my IRL friends these days since they're all working and have respectable lives while I'm loafing at home and still in the midst of job hunting. Because, yeah, I'll reply to your other comment here, but I didn't get that job even if I was confident about it tbh.. I DID land a one day job on our country's election day but since that was only for a day, I'm currently looking for something more permanent. That said, you get like maybe 5 decent jobs among a sea of (no offense but) garbage jobs that have nothing to do with what you're looking for or are way too far for me to do (I can't relocate for work, I have too many specialists to see here for my health problems and all my friends and family live here as well, so it'd be too though for me).

Makes sense, but we did have plans to travel together before and back then I thought it would be fun, so unless its for a pilgrimage for a series only I really know, then I'd probably appreciate traveling with others, especially since with my medical condition, having someone I know around would be reassuring..^^'3 Ohh nice, and that's fine, standards are important, lol!x'D Great locations! Nah, I can't drive actual motorcycles, I'd need a proper license for that (its the same one as for any other small/medium motored vehicle but its harder since you drive alone on the motorcycle from the start and they need to test you in driving centers and you need to take classes and pass them to get the license, kind of like they showed in Jellyfish Can't Swim at Night, really!). That said, I CAN drive an electric scooter, golf cart, or any slow vehicle without a license as long as I'm under surveillance or the person trusts you enough to go off with it, since those are less of a risk, ig? Never really thought about the logistic of it before tbh..^^'>3

Yeah exactly, it’s mostly just about whether it’s pouring or not--temps don’t really shift much here, so I guess I lucked out. I can’t even imagine dealing with post-holiday blues and freezing weather at the same tim--sounds rough ( ˘︹˘ )

Totally get how that time of year can feel a bit drained. Everyone’s recovering, both mentally and financially. It kind of puts everything in slow-mo.

But honestly, a quiet day off sounds like a win. Sometimes that’s the best way to reset--no pressure, just space to breathe.

No solid plans on my end yet, but I’m hoping for a few chill moments here and there. Just rolling with whatever comes :)

Yeah, I feel lucky having my birthday around the dry season! Since I live in a tropical country, the weather’s usually clear that time of year, which makes it easier for me to go out and do something fun. Rainy season birthdays seem kind of cozy too, but I imagine it’d be trickier to plan anything outdoors (✿◡‿◡)

Right back at you! Life has been good. I recently played Crisis Core Reunion and loved it, and am now finally getting around to playing through FFVII R. Now I can play Rebirth, and I heard part three is completed, so I’m looking forward to that. I still prefer the og, though there are several aspects of the remake I’ve enjoyed so far. Haven’t played XVI yet but it’s high on the list! Hope you’ve been very well!

Hmm, the thing is I don't know them that well tbh, though they share a few servers with me on Discord and we've talked here and there so maybe it would be fine..? I have a lot of IRL friends that I got to meet for the first time in a while last year and that was great, since they didn't change too much (although I've been hearing that a lot of people I knew were married now or had jobs, which shouldn't be too surprising considering our age for the second one, but the first one surprised me!). My IRL friends are anime watchers too but much more casually than I am. That said, they still go to Japanese/anime music concerts and talk to me about what they've watched recently, so it feels like the good old days again when we get together!

Agreed!!>.<3 It went so-so, got a lot of tempting offers but none of them landed. I had taken a break to focus on driving classes instead, and I'm glad I managed to do those and get my license since driving is really a gamechanger in how you see and interact with the world imho! I'll be going back to looking for something, and currently have one offer on the table, so hopefully that lands, since its my ideal position rn, but if not I'll at least be able to look for something again soon!=v='3

I know I should, and its not like I don't want to get it done ASAP, its just hard to remind myself to do it tbh..
