Update 6/20/2025:
First update since 12/2008.
I used to keep up with myanimelist years ago but stopped in 2008. I haven't updated my list in 17 years.
I figured it's time to finally start attempting to update itt, which will be incredibly difficult and time consuming since I haven't updated it in so long and have seen more anime and read more manga than I could probably ever hope to remember in the past 17 years. It'll probably take weeks to complete my list, and even then I'm sure I'll be missing tons of series I've forgotten over the years.
I'll be starting with updating the anime list first, than manga last later as that will take forever to update.
A little about me:
I started watching anime in the early 1990's (90-92 or so) and really got into it in the mid 90's buying overpriced $30 2 episode vhs tapes and the usual ultra violent ova's and movies (ie:streamline pictures and manga!) Since than I've been a huge fan of anime and manga and probably have spent way too much of my free time indulging in the hobby.

Did you have a good birthday? xD
Oh, glad to see you finally got the time to watch it. And of course, the ending was really bittersweet. It's unrealistic to demand anything else than an ending like that but at the same time you want more closure and somewhat more instead of leaving it open like that. Oh well....
Yep, I am, and I noticed about the manga. Heard from a friend that with only one chapter or so left it felt like it was gonna end pretty abruptly. I've only read 10 volumes I think. Not a big fan of manga although the SR manga is definitely a good one! I'll be waiting for the last animated semester (the OVA or whatever) before I continue with the manga.
-- I was passing by and I noticed it was your birthday today!~ Happy 25th Birthday! Hope you have a good one :D
I agree completely as far as most anime fans go and what I've gathered from people on this site and other forums. What we really have is a new wave that are into whatever the current IN series is. I call all of those being a passing fancy because in time they vanish and don't pass the test of time. I sometimes shake my head when I see people passing up on so much stuff just because it's not brand new. I'm not even talking about 70s, 80s or even 90s. I see people totally ignoring shows just from the past few years. I'm the type of guy who always looks back and watches whatever I might have missed before moving on. I see now reason to watch the newest stuff most of the time. You have to deal with annoying hype and why watch in gaps when you can watch it all together with some flow? I like to watch stuff when it's all done unless it's on going forever like a One Piece for example where it would be impossible to wait.
I think it's really unfortunate when fans don't have a wide variety or cringe at older animation. They honestly have no idea what they're missing.
Here you go
Let me know what you think and we seriously need to talk on AIM sometime soon. We seem to agree on quite a bit.
