Ew you are true... it was an old list of mine, actually i use more anilist but i don't update it either. I feel bad now hahahaha
I gave too much 10.. but old days these were my favorites anime sooo idk i just want to tell people how much i love them lol.
Anywaaay i will watch one day oregairu. ONE DAY. Cause too much people talk about itttt and i just really like survival game and not romance. But i will give it a try. Thanksss!! <3
I don't know if send a friendship on insta or not, it sound weird lol
There is some truth to that, yeah. It's a country of and for old people, and those are racist af. But I dare say times are changing and once all the old, rotten generations are dead it'll be a new country :) I for sure will make it so that those who come after me won't be like that.
I do live in Italy (what a good time it was to be here, lemme tell you), I just meant I was born in the wrong region ;; but damn, you must be feeling like a giant all the time. Must be a powerful feeling
I think the average is somewhere between 160-170? So yeah, not that tall. I'm 150 so... Y'know. Still below that. Were I born in a southern region I'd be perfectly blended in, but alas, I wasn't. I've met lots of girls who were 180+ cm.
Daaamn you're tall! How many times have you been asked if you play basket? Must be annoying :') ok so at this point it looks like I'm pointing a gun at your head but it's nothing like KNB. KNB has no realism and as much as the rainbow-colored cast is funny and charismatic and I like the idea, Slam Dunk is just much more down to earth and pleasant to watch. They aren't that much alike. I do get your complaints so for the time being go for Kazetsuyo which is on your list already, you'll like it :3
I know what you mean. Some find it fascinating, others don't...for what it's worth I can tell you the story + characters + basket are so good you'd probably get over it in no time. Then again it's not exactly a short series so you'd have to put up with it for a lllooong time. But it's worth it!!! I promise!
A sports one that I've loved and I don't see in your list is Zake ga tsuyoku fuiteiru. It brought some fresh air in my opinion as the main charas are from college and not from high school (which personally I can't relate a lot more). They're all so endearing. They do run a lot so there's *actual* sports, but it's maybe more about friendship and personal growth. Or, if you're feeling like watching something older, 80's style, Slam Dunk is a classic and one of the best ones ever made. Days was so cute, right?? Not my favorite, but I'd gladly watch a second season!
See, that's a perfect example of what I was saying!!! I could tell you Koe no katachi is better than Soul Eater in so many ways, themes, animation, you name it. Honestly, SE could have a 4/5 just because of the fanservice, which I've become intolerant to. But it holds such a special place in my heart...I've just finished rewatching it, coincidentally, so this stands all the more. It's been my hyperfixation for a solid two years before I could move on to something else and it's just such a good memory from my teenage years. Hence the high score. But I'm 100% down to breaking down my favorite animes and seeing the flaws, of course.
Sorry!! I did say I was going to, though :') I did watch Koe no Katachi and liked that one waaay better. The manga is even more deep and touching, but the movie is pretty nice too. Also in terms of shipping I like Ishida and Nishimiya a lot more than the Your Name duo, and they ain't even a couple.
Thank you for the recommendation! I took a look and it sounds vvvery interesting. Definitely going on my to watch list. Sports is 100% my top genre, but yeah, Drama is fantastic as well, I appreciate the rec :P
Ok then, here I go! First of all, a few premises. The scores I give are not objective at all. I ain't a good critic so I mostly give them out of personal enjoyment/attachment/how much I thought about the thing after I finished it. I totally get that some of the scores on my list don't make much sense :') secondly, shoujo stuff is not my jam and I'm not into romantic stories anymore. I still watch it from time to time because I'm stubborn. So in the case of Your Name I went into it fully aware that I probably wasn't gonna like it. Lastly, I watched it in 2017 so I may not remember it perfectly and get some stuff wrong, in which case I apologize!
Plot-wise I didn't dislike it that much and was even taken by surprise a couple times. I enjoyed the beginning with the two protagonists first switching bodies and thought it was pretty funny (although the joke with Taki touching his boobs like his life depended on it got old quickly). But the romantic plot (which is like 99% of the whole movie) didn't speak to me at all...I found it pretentious and like it was trying too hard. That particular scene with Mitsuha opening her hand to find that he had written "I love you" instead of his name has to be one of the dumbest thing I've seen in recent years. Was I supposed to be crying at that point? Because I was just pissed off at everyone. Moreover it's not like the couple had that much of a development. I know not much can be done in a couple hours of film, but still. I definitely got to the end without thinking that oh my god they were so destined to be together and so in love and whatever. Another thing I didn't really like was the cast of secondary characters...that I can barely remember and that shows how not memorable it was for me, I always love secondary characters more than the protagonists.
Animation-wise, it's a beautiful movie. The style is maybe a bit too cutesy for me, I tend to like "dirtier" styles, but I can see the appeal, definitely. Also the OST is very very cute. All in all I can 100% see why people loved it, it's just that personally after finishing it I still didn't get what the fuss was about and forgot about it pretty quickly. Which is why I didn't watch Weathering with you, and instead spoiled myself the plot. And thank god I did because that one sounds just as pretentious and in-your-face (as far as the love story goes) as Your Name.
Oh, can I dig my grave even deeper? I absolutely despised Promare, too.
Feel free to try and change my mind. I'm all ears.
Thank you man, yours is very nice as well :P your question is an interesting one and I do have stuff to say about that. I'd have to go into detail about it though, think you can handle a little rant?
