What did you think of Fantastic Four? I really liked it, my only problem was I would have liked o see them use their powers more. I am gonna assume you have watched it but skip this if you haven’t. But besides Johnny I feel like the rest didn’t use them enough. Sue shined in the last fight, but barely ever went invisible despite being the ‘Invisible Woman’. The Thing just never really helped despite his strength and Mr Fantastic’s stretching was kinda pathetic haha. But in the context of the movie I guess they didn’t really NEED to use them, so this is a minor complaint but I do hope they use them more in the next avengers movie. I wonder if Galactus will ever come back since he wasn’t killed.

How did you find IronHeart after it ended? The only things I have heard about it is Rir throwing shade at Tony being like ‘he could only accomplish things cause he was rich.’ So naturally this pissed everyone off cause everyone likes Iron Man. I haven’t seen anything else about the show so naturally this is a biased take. But from the outside it just seemed like it went down the She Hulk route of taking a girl version of a character and talking smack about the preestablished male version that everyone already loves. Which is again another biased take cause I didn’t watch She Hulk either >.< By the sounds of it you are saying IronHeart is decent?

I actually have not played Dyling Light. I think it came out around when I had Zombie fatigue. I used to play all the zombie games but at some point they started to feel samey and I stopped…. Besides Resident Evil, I will never get tired of Resident Evil. But Dying Light does look sick actually, and I do want to try it. Does it have a continuing story or could I just jump in from the newest one? You mention it follows the same MC, but idk if it is a story heavy series or its kinda just ‘there are zombies, try to survive.’ Like 1 zombie game I kinda gave up on was Days Gone. The gameplay was pretty fun, but it is one of the only games I didn’t finish cause I am usually a completionist… but the story was just so boring. It was just a repetitive side quest simulator, where I could have really enjoyed it if the side missions had some variety and the campaign was interesting.
I did not play resident evil outbreak either, but I am down to have a new protagonist. It would have been cool to get Chris or Leon but they reason we aren’t is pretty funny. Im fine with themnot being the protagonist but I do hope they are still in it. And in more of a prominent role than like Chris in RE8. I doubt this considering there complete absence in the trailer but you never know.

How was the Your Forma anime now that its done? Did the season end ona good note? I am still behind and this season has SOOOO many shows fuck me I am not gonna be able to keep up.

You are correct about the lack of death being the usual problem, so too many deaths is like a breath of fresh air…. Still isn’t the ideal solution though xD If everyone is gonna die I would rather it be like a big bang at the end like Devil Man Crybaby. When you are slowly killing them off one arc at a time I lose hope and stop caring. When they all get nuked at the end, well at least I got my favourite characters for the whole series though >.< I still think my favourite way to handle death is a death loop series like Higurashi or ReZero. Where anyone can die but they can still be saved but their saving isn’t guaranteed. I am also glad I marathoned Orb like you, some shows just feel better to plow through.

You’ve done everything in Nightreign, meanwhile I still haven’t beat the second Night Lord. Yet I have gone on to play 3 Soulslike games being First Berserker, Lies of P DLC and now Wuchang. I did see they added a 2 player mode as of yesterday so hopefully this means I can really pick up playing it more with my brother. But his uni holidays also literally ended the same day so its like the Nightreign gods don’t want me to play it!!! I think with the 2 player mode I should hopefully start picking up the pace though. So the ideal order is the presented order, but it wouldn’t really hurt to do it in a different order?

Oh wow, I knew you liked Hogwarts Legacy but I surprised it is a top 3. Hell yeah. After finishing Expedition 33 I made something similar to the 3x3 Trash Taste would do to represent my favourite games I kept it to 1 game per franchise otherewise Resident Evil 7 and 6 would probably be there too haha. It’s in no particular order, Nier is just the biggest in the middle to show its #1

I get an insane plan to watch, and this season alone is huge. I have 10+ shows I want to watch, and we are like 3 weeks in and Ive only started like half of them.

When a series gets like Black Clover is for you, I just stop reading until it finishes then binge it. That is exactly what happened with D.Gray-man and Berserk for me. I am just waiting for them to end before I continue reading.

I noticed you started To Be Hero X. Did you binge it or have you been slowly watching it? What do you think?

How does the punisher become supernatural? I would hope it doesn’t get too ridiculous. I think part of the reason Daredevil and Punisher a seen in a better light than most MCU tv series is because it is more brutal and grounded. Hope they know what they are doing if they want to remove the grounded part.
Matt taking the bullet and being a bit tired of the ‘hanging up the suit’ plot were probably my only negatives of the season. Overall it was a good season though and I look forward to the next.

Underpowered no, underpowered compare to the original avengers yes. Hey, 3 super soldiers is good and all but I think Id bet on a Demigod, Gamma infused genius and a flying suit of mass destruction on top of a super soldier. Yeah Sentry/Void would make a massive addition if he could comfortably control his powers…. Which he cant. So I am keen to see how this avengers can carry the next generation of movies, but right now I see them as avengers at home xD
You say Ironheart and I do not remember them in the slightest. Funnily enough during thunderbolts I was the one reminding my family on who Ghost, Taskmaster and Walker were. I have the better memory of previous movies over my family and I could not tell you who Ironheart is haha. Yeah, Im most likely probably not watching that.

Have you had nothing from Abby’s perspective yet? Its been a while since I played the game, I thought you kinda jumped between Abby and Ellie. Was season 2 just all Ellie’s perspective and now season 3 will be all Abby? That is a wild idea to me though. 1 Season for the game universally loved by everyone, and 3 seasons for the game that completely divided it’s audience.
My opinion on the attractiveness of the actresses really comes down to how well they look like the character. Ideally I think they should aim for the same, but I also know that is a tall order to find someone that can act the part while looking like it. So long as it is reasonably close. My biggest example of butchering this is Margarita from Witcher. They chose to make her literally the polar opposite of what she looked like in the games. She is no where near as main of a character as Ellie is…. But this travesty absolutely blew my mind as someone who read the books and played the games.

With solo leveling I was just expressing I think the wait will be pretty bad honestly. I used AoT S2 as an example cause I remember the hype kinda dying for the sequel cause everyone had either gone ahead and read it cause they didn’t want to wait, or they moved on and forgot about it. That would be really sad if that’s the case. But then AoT s3 blew up again so who knows.

I do think you would like Dungeon Meshi and I don’t want to spoil some of the other highlights. But it is a lot more than a cooking show, I think a good comparison would be like Golden Kamui. They had food sections that were important but didn’t take up a huge chunk of time or detract from the pacing. It is more common in Dungeon Meshi than Golden Kamui, but then not as much as like Shokugeki.

Interesting that they would do a flashback in Your Forma, but then still not go back to the actual start. I do really enjoy the story of Your Forma and Im glad you are too. Unfortunately I am watching a lot this season so Your Forma and Black Butler are the ones I am behind on just cause I have already read them. I am priortising the new stuff currently. So how does that arc end? I imagine you are referring to the fate of his partner and what his current goal is?

I also wish Nowak met his daughter, and I think the whole figuring it out was kinda far fetched with the arm and the glove. She was a child last he saw her, he wouldn’t know how big her hand would be now…. And even if he did I would find it far fetched still haha. I gave it a 9 too so I also loved it, but my grievances with shows that constantly swap main characters is when they ALL die. I like it when you don’t know who will live and die, and I really wanted there to be some survivors that made it through either the whole show. Jolenta could have been that, her death wasn’t 100% necessary. Yeah there is power in being a martyr but I feel like there were also ways to accomplish the same thing since no one knew what she looked like. She just died because this is a series where everyone gotta die >.> The tipping point of To Your Eternity for me was Tonari’s death. She survived an arc just to immediately die in the next one and it kinda takes me out of it knowing if a character does miraculously make one arc they are probably just gonna get offed the next.
Putting that aside though, I did really love the pacing of the torch story telling. So my understanding was there wasn’t alternative timeline stuff, I just thought Rafal survived poising himself and sorta grew up in secrecy to reveal himself at the end. I wont pretend like I completely understood it though. Cause I don’t really know how he would have survived or why he did seem so different. I don’t think the Rafal we got introduced would have killed Albert’s father.

I know they planned to continue the arcane/league universe, but I thought I remembered reading that they lost money with Arcane and that had me a little worried about its actual future.

I started as Recluse and have only played Duchess since unlocking her. I also really like the duchess, she is my favourite so far. I want to try Revenant but my brother is playing her currently and I don’t think 2 of her would be ideal (but I haven’t tried yet so who knows… it might). What do your friends usually go? Do you double up classes or go completely separate. Our general team comp have been Duchess/Revenant/IronEye.
You had already beat 6 Night lords when you wrote that comment :O Omg, and by now I am sure you have beat all 8 twice. I am very sad cause my brother is in exam season at Uni and the third friend I managed to find works weird hours so… prepare to be disappointed, I have only beat 1 night lord so far. It has been very hard organising all 3 of us to play so oof, you are way ahead of me. I don’t think I really wanna play this game solo, did you end up trying it? How was it?
And did you have a favourite night lord btw. I cannot comment on that since I have only beaten the first. Something I do want to know though is there an ideal order to fight them in. Or can I just pick any random one to fight next.
Have you ended up playing any other souls-like btw? Lies of P, the one I recommended alongside Dark Souls 3 just released a DLC. It’s version of Shadow of the Erd Tree and the final boss of that was absolutely relentless. Took me 3 hours to complete solo without a summon.

The Elden Ring movie news sounds very promising btw. The director and studio seem pretty solid choices. So I am optimistic for now at least.
My game of the year also had a movie announcement already. You heard anything about Clair Obscur Expedition 33? That game absolutely blew up and completely deserved in my opinion. I would without a doubt add it to my favourite games of all time. My recent games have been that, Lies of P DLC and Nightreign on the odd occasion all 3 of us can get organised.

I feel like a fool. Normally I check your watching list if I am unsure if you are watching something. But I was just so sure you were watching Loser Ranger, it is exactly your kinda show and I swear I can remember us talking about it before. Its like the anime equivalent of The Boys and Invincible which I know you both watch so I didn’t even consider you weren’t watching Loser Ranger. Its my favourite sequel of the season and probably my favourite besides To Be Hero X. A part of me still thinks you are pulling my leg and you are watching it. You got me good buddy.

I looked up if you need to have seen the prequels to To be Hero X and everywhere I saw said no. This is an anime original story completely separate from anything before so no prior knowledge is required. There does not seem to be any favouritism with the main characters. Like with each story one doesn’t seem more ‘main’ than the other so it really is anyones game. And each of their rises to the top have been completely unique and interesting to watch and they end on a cliff hanger before going to the next hero so it is INFURIATING…ly good. I cant wait to see how all these stories collide. To Be Hero X into Dungeon Meshi sounds like an amazing plan.

Yeah I have been considering giving Vigilantes a shot. You are correct about my MyHero Fatigue, but I am not unknown to giving shows a second chance. I don’t know if you remember that I completely dropped Black Clover while it was airing. But like a year after it finished I watched the whole thing and now I consider myself a Black Clover fan. So maybe when my hero ends Ill give it a second chance, and that might get me hyped for the spin off. So don’t right it off completely, but rn it is unlikely while I am still behind on Your Forma and Black Butler aswell.

I have watched the last Daredevil episode, and punisher was in it more than I expected… but it still didn’t feel like enough honestly xD This is just making me release how much I want another punisher season. So when you say he is getting his own “presentation”… is it just like a single hour long episode? That is kinda sad, what would it even be about. Will it continue his escape from his current situation, cause if anything I would think that would continue in the next season of Daredevil. And speaking of daredevil himself, I was not a fan of him taking a bullet for Fisk. Yeah daredevil doesn’t kill, but he doesn’t have to body block for his enemies. Its been a bit since I have watched it and I have old man memory now, but if Im correct there wasn’t even a good reason for him to do it. When punisher asked him why he just went ‘idk’ didn’t he. Im still quite keen for the next season.

What did you think of Thunderbolts? I watched it when it came out, been a while since I have seen a Marvel Movie on its release instead of waiting a while. I quite liked it, made me like Ghost and Walker whom I didn’t really care about before the movie. Bob was great too xD haha… bob. Don’t see how they can be the new avengers though, they seem WAY underpowered compared to the OG avengers. Guess we will find out with Doomsday.

TY for the cliff notes on Last of Us, nah I am not worried about spoilers and actually would like to be kept up without having to watch it haha. All I see from online is A LOT of making fun of Bella Ramsey, which I think is both uncalled for and funny. She acts a good Ellie and I have nothing against her, but she just doesn’t look the part I am sorry >.> But yeah anyway I know nothing about the changes they are making, so feel free to keep me updated ^.^

I honestly don’t know if that is good news, having such a long break even for a beloved show is pretty detrimental. I remember with the wait for Attack on Titan season 2, a lot of people slept on it just cause it took so long. But then the remaining seasons didn’t wait and its popularity built again. So while I would obviously rather a better product than a rushed one, having to wait many years I can totally see killing the hype and future prospects for more seasons. Cause I can tell you for sure 1 more season wont be enough to finish it. And now our watch beings xD

I would recommend Dungeon Meshi to you. I didn’t think much of it either which is why I didn’t watch it airing. But so many people praised it I just couldn’t sleep on it anymore and now it is a favourite of mine. What I loved most about it was how it handled death and slowly fed you hints on how it works. Like the opening sequence shows the main characters sister dying and the whole point of the show is about going to save her. But they don’t elaborate, so naturally I assumed resurrection existed. But then as they descend you find dead bodies that cant be revived having you question why the sister can and they cant. Then you come across zombies and wonder why dead bodies can become undead. Then I started questioning can they normally revive the sister or are they gonna turn her into a zombie. I love mysteries like this that keep you guessing. Most episodes have a unique monster they have to overcome and then it finishes with them eating it cause they are poor and have no food which is where the name of the anime comes from. But for a dungeon crawler anime it is very unique and I even rewatched it with my brother on my last visit to Japan.

Yeah something about Lazuras just isn’t enough. It doesn’t have that factor that makes you excited. When I watch it I enjoy it, but it doesn’t have that catch making you eagerly anticipate the next episode. It is missing that draw. And since we are already at episode 7 I doubt we will get it. It will just be a kinda pretty good show unfortunately. I could still be wrong though.

Im a couple of episodes behind on Your Forma so maybe it played in a flashback by now, but what I was getting at is they basically skipped the first arc. Originally it started with Echika having a different partner and then when she gets matched with Lucraft she is very unwilling. But they do a case together where Bigga is a suspect (they aren’t friends yet). I was surprised to see it start with her already having Lucraft as a partner and Bigga as a friend. And I guess Gigguk doesn’t ACTUALLY watch everything in a season huh haha, I am actually surprised at how little people know about it. Like the novel I read has so little members it doesn’t even technically have a score. But the reason I read it is a friend recommended it because they liked it and it had won some Japanese awards in literature. I would think award winning books would have a bigger audience.

I completely agree with you about The Beginning After the End. Even with better animation I wouldn’t understand the hype yet. It basically has been a watered down and less dark Mushoku Tensei. They even followed the plot line of being separated from the parents except they speed ran his return. It took Rudeus seasons to find a single broken parent. It took this guy a couple episodes to return to a happy family haha. The animation has been pretty rough though, so I can see why fans of the manhwa would be upset but still I think they are taking it too far. Like that sparing match in the recent episode was kinda pathetic. But outside of specifically action scenes, it isn’t that bad. I quite like your reasoning for not dropping it >.<

That’s why I said it, specifically to jinx you ;) I am far less jealous now, I don’t think I would boad well with having to handle a lot of overtime. I hate overtime, paid or otherwise. I worked a job for a gaming industry, and when we almost hit our deadline we wouldn’t be leaving the office till 1 am some days and still expected to be in the office at 9 am the next day…. Never again.

I tried to be as vague as possible in my explanations about Orbso I wouldn’t spoil stuff like Rafal. I think in the whole show Badeni was my favourite. With Nowak being in a close second. I didn’t care much for Oczy but I didn’t dislike him. Ive got some more I want to say about Orb and I am pretty sure Id be safe to say it… but just in case ill wait until you are done haha. Which I imagine you will be by the time you reply. Id love to hear what you think of the series then.

Has there been any official announcement for the next arcane series though. As much as I would love for something centered around LeBlanc I am still kinda worried about if there will even be one considering Arcane has been finished for a while now and there has only really been speculation. These cinematics are a good sign at least.

Elden Ring Nightreign is a week away and I am actually starting to get quite excited. My disdain for Rogue-lite’s has not changed in the slightest, but I still absolutely love Elden Ring. So I cant help but get excited.

Some other airing shows I wanna discuss is Loser Ranger. That green keeper reveal actually took me completely off guard. I did not think the informant Chidori was gonna be the green keeper. Even when he walked up with a weapon, I expected him to have found said weapon during his sleuthing or something like that. I really liked that reveal. And then immediately after, I think there assault on the green keeper was pathetic as fuck >.< Running at his house with zero plan immediately after discovering his identity. I am glad yellow lieutenant is back in it, she is my favourite character and I am surprised with how little she is actually in it. But with this botched assassination attempt I actually have no idea where the show is going now. Like they have discovered her identity leaving limited options. I don’t think they are gonna defeat the green keeper this early, but I also don’t think they can blow the yellow lieutenant’s cover this early. But then Idk what is gonna happen. I mean the green keeper seems kinda morally flakey, maybe even he will join their cause?

My favourites this season both came out of no where for me. I find myself most looking forward to To Be Hero X and Witch Watch. Witch Watch is pretty simple, it is by an assistant to the creator of Gintama. Like how Dandadan is made by the assistant of Chainsaw Man creator. These assistants seem to channel their masters work, and Witch Watch is just funny with lots of pop culture references. The second episode makes lots of references to Hunter x hunter which is funny considering I am currently rewatching it. But if you aren’t already, you should totally watch To Be Hero X. If you are looking for anything to add to your list this season, that would be it. It again has multiple main characters, you follow mini arcs about different heroes using different methods to try and get the number one spot. The plot isn’t very new, but the fact that there isn’t one 1 main character actually makes it so interesting. And they give you time to know them too, like only 7 episodes are out but you follow 1 guy for 4 episodes. Then it ends on a massive cliff hanger and now I am following a different hero using a completely different strategy to try and gain popularity. I am guessing this guy will only have 1 episode left before it shifts again. And because of this I have no idea who to route for and it isn’t obvious who is actually gonna end up being #1.

How about you, you got any surprise hits I should try this season?

Piracy… oh no, who would do such a thing…. Certainly not I. Big wigs underestimating anime is nuts. Pop culture conventions now are like 80% anime. And I think I remember seeing a stat somewhere that anime contributed significantly to Netflix’s earnings. When will you learn old men…. WHEN!?!?!
Those Portuguese subtitle translations are pretty funny though. Literally just removing the d from devil fruit to completely change the meaning… interesting choice.

I don’t hate falcon, I just don’t think he is a protagonist. He doesn’t really have the personality to carry a movie for me unfortunately. But I still liked Brave New World.
Well punisher wasn’t in the last episode and I don’t really see him being in the next one, but I would love to be proved wrong. And they have a confirmed season 2? That is awesome, are there any confirmed punisher seasons? It would be kinda lame to bring him back for just a tiny cameo.
Some differences wouldn’t be enough to make me excited for Season 2 of Last of Us. There would need to be significant changes for me to give it a chance. Even just slightly more Joel wouldn’t be enough.

True, I did like the characters (besides Garfield) that got a chance to shine… despite Reinhard essentially finishing every fight xD It is kinda unfortunate Subaru has matured to not just self sacrifice. That honestly seems like something that woulda happened at the end of the show. Subaru learning to appreciate his life and fight not to die despite his power. But now that he isn’t actively using his power there feels like there is something missing from the series.

Ayeee, the healer subverted your expectations ;P I remember he did that but I didn’t remember what arc it was in until the Ant Arc started. I really like how he handled it, I feel like most protagonists wouldn’t revive him out of morals like deku or tanjiro…. Or they would revive him and refuse to dismiss him after healing like Eren or Lelouch. Jinwoo in a league with Wei Wuxian ;)
Jinwoo’s father beat up the guy out for his son and disappears just to be a next season teaser. Are you sure season 3 has been confirmed? I see posts saying it is and some saying it isn’t and I don’t know what to believe. Il just hope to god it does get one, and read it again when I get tired of waiting.

Invincible I don’t need to decide yet, the comics I bought haven’t arrived yet. Well 2/3 have so I wont make the decision until I have all 3. I really do wanna read it…. But I also really wana watch it :/ I have this exact same dilemma with Dungeon Meshi. Another anime I would 100% recommend btw. Its between Dungeon Meshi and Frieren for anime of the year for but I still think Frieren has the edge.

I assumed you meant by the synopsis and not the information I gave you about Lazuras. So I took the opportunity to inform you to raise your expectations for when it bombs like Ninja Kamui. So we can all be disappointed together :) I too was taken aback by the dub. I was not expecting it at all, then I tried downloading (legally *cough*) other files and they were only in filthy english. Ewww, what a terrible language. I thought the first episode was fine, not bad but not worth the hype I built up. Im sure it’ll excel in the future sure.
Jumping straight into Your Forma before I even give the go ahead, you are brave warrior. I have no idea what they are doing with anime to be honest. They have jumped straight into the middle of the story. I can tell you how its supposed to start but maybe that’ll be a flashback later? Im interested to see how it tells the story but yeah, the order of the events is already very different. And funnily enough I do associate it more with ID Invaded, I just also associate ID Invaded with Psycho Pass and I went with the OG when giving you a comparison.
Ive added Moonrise to my watch List this season, a Netflix one that is already completely out. It is animated by WIT and a space scifi so I am interested.
The beginning after the end is getting a lot of hate for its animation. Which isn’t abysmal in my opinion. Yeah the action has been power points, but the action has also been against nobody bandits. I would save the animation criticism for important moments. I too am watching it if that wasn’t clear.

I remember Gigguk saying that about 100 Girlfriends too. But despite the authors efforts, I highly doubt they will ALL get equivalent screen time. Even now I’d argue Karane and Hakari are more prominent then everyone else. And Kusuri cause she drives any episode that isn’t about getting a new girlfriend. There are only 2 types of episodes, Renatrou picking up chicks and Kusuri almost destroying the world. But somehow this formula is still extremely entertaining haha. Whenever anime trying and be ‘with the times’ and use Gen Z cringe dialogue it hurts…. But when Hahari said ‘I hugged Karane and she started throwing hands’ I lost it xD

So what do you think of Orb so far? I can see what episode you are on but don’t know how far that is in the story and wouldn’t wanna spoil anything. I know you would at least be up to your second protagonist though.
You can watch episodes at work and you get long periods of nothing. Living the life man xD I would watch 1 episode sometimes during my lunch breaks, but I would usually be forced to socialise and I would only watch an episode when I was mad at my coworkers haha.

Yeah I started severance when there were 2 episodes left of season 2. So I only had to watch it airing for 2 weeks. I don’t usually worry about a show not having source material, in fact I even prefer it some cases. But what I do worry about is that you say it is gonna have another 1+ seasons. I liked this show a lot in season 1, still really liked season 2 but a little less so. I feel like this is a concept that loses its edge after a while. I love the premise but I don’t know if it can keep me locked in for more than 3 seasons.
I can see what you mean about plot holes and the worries of coming up with stuff on the spot. I am still keen to watch next season but I don’t think this show should go for as long as it sounds it might :/

I am so happy that Leblanc is a big part of these cinematics haha. If only she got a proper introduction in Arcane, but I am happy she is getting attention now.

For Elden Ring… oh a tv show definitely. Aint no way a movie would be able to cover it all. Well, if you just stream lined the story it might fit actually, but then you wouldn’t be able to cover the whole lore. Kinda like how Melania is a completely optional part to the campaign, but you wouldn’t understand what happened to Radahn and Caelid without her. You would also miss out on Mohg and the blood palace…. So yeah, a TV show for sure haha. Get that Ring’s of Power budget but by people that want to be faithful to the universe ;P

So you don’t get as many movies as us in cinema, but for longer period of time :/ My situation is still better since it sucks you just straight up don’t get some, but I wonder why when you do its for way longer.
I enjoyed the overall plot of Brave New World and the Red Hulk fight and that they finally addressed the Celestial coming out of the Earth. My main gripe is I just don’t really care about Falcon (New Captain America) as a character. Ross said it best… you aren’t Steve Rogers. Which was a theme of the movie, living up to your predecessors and becoming your own person. But he just doesn’t, even when he was just the falcon he was the most side character avenger there was. It would be like if the next Iron Man movie was led by War Machine. Could it still be a good movie, yes. Would I give a fuck about War Machine, no >.>
I agree about Daredevil and Punisher, I much preferred them over everything after. WandaVision and Loki were pretty good but still not to the same level. I prefer the darker more serious series. So I too am watching and am up to date on Born Again. I hope punisher becomes properly in it and not just that 5 minute cameo (which I unfortunately doubt will happen). I honestly typically don’t like the story trope’s where the superhero hangs up there cape at the start of the series and are just a civilian until they are forced back into the game. But I think its been handling it well so far… Matt Murdoch has still been kicking ass. The CGI has been suffering more than I remember in the original series like when he landed on the stair case in the first episode. But its not jarring enough to take away from my enjoyment.
Are you actually excited for the Last of Us? I liked season 1, but as a game player which I know you are aswell…. I have 0 enthusiasm for season 2. Unless they decide to change it up which I am 99% sure they wont, I do not intend on watching season 2 haha. Especially after the news that they are cancelling the third game. I may have hated the story of part 2.. But I at least had hope they would fix the conclusion of Ellie’s story with a third game. They just keep butchering the Last of Us’s legacy, I would have rathered it be just the one game if they aren’t gonna make a third.

Let me preface with no disrespect for ReZero, I still love the series as a whole, but this was the weakest season for me. I typically don’t like when the whole season is just a series of fights. I didn’t expect this whole season was gonna be just brawl’s. They weren’t bad per say, but Re:Zero isn’t a battle shounen you know. Im fine with it for Bleach, but I was kinda hoping for more story from Re:Zero. I still enjoyed it, but I would rate season 1 and 2 higher.
Reviving the healer for Cha Hae-in and then dismissing him is one the key moments I bring up for loving Jinwoo as a main character. The morally grey action of reviving and using the corpse of a friend, but doing it to save someone and then immediately releasing him out of respect. Fuck yeah Jinwoo. Now he has Beru and one the biggest conflicts amongst fans begins. Who is stronger between Beru and Igris is like Zoro vs Sanji for Solo Leveling readers haha. To bad the season ended and we wont be able to spark the fight amongst anime only fans.
Jinwoo using the OP potion to try and save Cha like you were screaming actually didn’t happen in the Manhwa, so that was a surprise to see and did a better job of showing how desperate he was. There were quite a few anime only changes that I actually thought were really good. The changes were great, the only not great parts were the cut content. Like reducing the elf girls screen time and making the whole ant arc shorter. We didn’t really get to see much besides Korean’s killing the queen and Jinwoo killing the king. There was more to the ant arc but the anime only really did the highlights. I don’t think it really cut anything important besides maybe the introduction of a character. Jinoh’s cousin was supposed to be here by now, and I hope she just gets introduced later instead of cut This is who we might get deprived of ;_;
Ive heard that season 3 isnt already confirmed and that it is reliant on its performance, which surely means it will happen. From what I have been seeing it would have to be popular enough right? We got introduced to some major characters at the end, the S rank that has beef with Jinwoo hasn’t tried to get his revenge yet, Cha Hae-in has only just started to become a character, Jinwoo wants to start his own guild…. IT CANT STOP YET!

I still haven’t decided what Ill do with invincible, I would rather the cartoon first…. But do I really want to wait years between seasons. Rex dying while actively trying to improve himself is so depressing. Especially when he was the only one of any use in the guardians. I kept seeing how only 2 people on Earth could solo a Mark variant (Tech Jacket and Powerplex) and the argument being technically Rex did too because the rest of the guardians did negative damage. I did see that Mark vs Conquest was the Glenn vs Negan rematch was hilarious. Although not technically a rematch cause Glen never really even got the chance to fight. I like to think the outcome ould have been the same as Mark vs Conquest if Glen got a fair chance ;P
I was hoping Eve would make it but I was less sure. I was very worried Mark was gonna need motivation to kill people again after finding out Angstrom survived.

Lazurus doesn’t sound that great…. Either you have not heard about the hype around it or you may be the only person on Earth who has and isn’t hyped. Lazurus will be an anime original (so no one can spoil) by MAPPA… the biggest animation studio in Japan. It will be directed by the director of Cowboy Bepop, Death Parade and Zankyou no Terror (one of the most stacked directors in the industry). And they got the fight choreographer from John Wick to coordinate the fights. With a roster like that and you aren’t excited… you might have to do that ‘are you a robot’ test xD
Your Forma you might wanna wait a bit. I can attest to the source material because I really like the Light Novel, but I have no idea if it will be a good adaptation. The fact that there has been 0 advertisement for it and I didn’t even know it was getting an anime until I went through the seasonal chart last week does not give me confidence.

Finishing Danmachi off with a dragon, I can see that happening. I am not quite sure how it would finish. There doesn’t really seem to be an end girl besides answering the title of the anime… CAN you pick up girls in a dungeon? I don’t think the opening was really spoilers, of course Ryu would help ^.^ Aisha was technically helping but in a far more back seated way. Ais didn’t help at all which was super disappointing. If Bell did end up with 1 girl and it not be a harem, I don’t think it would be Hestia. I still see it being between Ais and Ryu.

I haven’t seen the last episode of 100 girlfriends yet, but I have honestly been loving this season. Its been just dumb fun and Ive enjoyed the whole thing. Kusuri is honestly the driving force behind most of the episodes. So it seems your favourite will always be relevant because over half the episodes are the result of one of Kusuri’s positions. And Karane is relevant cause she is one of the OG’s with Hakari. So if the show does keep getting seasons, I think we are safe from our girls being overshadowed. It is just a fun, ridiculous and funny slice of life. A great one to be one of the only slice of lifes we both actually watch.

Gigguk just made a video about Orb on the movements of the Earth and it reminded me that I forgot to mention Nowak. He is a really cool villain and Garnt didn’t mention it, but if I were to compare him to someone he reminds of Askeladd (but not in a mentor way). He made it sound like he enjoyed it more than juggernaunts like Frieren which I disagree with. I still definitely like Frieren more, but it was still an awesome show which I don’t think I need to convince you on anymore but am still ranting anyway for some reason >.<

What did you think of Severance? I actually just finished binging it too. Ive been binging some live shows recently including Severance, White Lotus and Reacher. Watch any others of those? I would talk about Severance but I don’t know if you have finished it since you haven’t started Or on the movements of the Earth yet.

Godrick live action sounds like nightmare fuel with all that grafting. But then again, Elden Ring the game has pretty realistic looking graphics. So I could see it working as live action but yeah, it would have a rather inflated budget for some of those characters for sure. I think it could work animated or live, as long as they actually try haha. If they don’t act like Halo and be proud of the fact no one on the team played the game, then it has a very good chance.

Lesbian and Gay ships always seem to be more popular and I don’t really know why. Is it just cause ppl wanna find other ships other than what is canon to the story.
I am about to find out if merging the lores of league is goood for me, because Leblanc is about to be reworked in game which I am VERY scared about. As my second most played champion, changing how she is played after literal decades is very worrying to me.
I know arcane didn’t actually turn a profit, but I also don’t know if that is necessarily a bad thing for the company. I remember seeing a video about how Riot (the company) has been at the top of the gaming space for so long because all the events they host they do at a loss for more marketing. Like the music videos, the cinematics, Arcane and the annual championship all lost money but keep making the game more popular.
Whatever the case, I just hope the League Cinematic Universe isn’t in jeopardy.

So about the Attack on Titan only being there for 2 weeks. That is just how it is for Anime movies. Something like Captain America Brave New World is still in the cinemas now. But actually anime movies only last a week, for AoT it actually got an extra week over normal anime movies. So while we may be a head of you by showing most anime movies, there is only a small window of time to actually watch them. So if I still want to see this movie in cinema, I have to come over to you >.<

He does continue to learn more abilities but this one is the best! It isn’t a spoiler cause you know Jinwoo is gonna vs the ant king now, so this was the tattoo I was gonna get at one point The Japanese S rank hunters got absolutely decimated. I was wondering if the anime would change it to have more Japanese survivors so that it didn’t look like they got steam rolled compared to the Koreans…. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. Some changes they have made though were to my poor elf girl. It seems a lot of her time was cut, she will come back later though…. I wont make a statement on her significance though, you can find that out ;) But she was supposed to be in it longer than only 1 episode. She also doesn’t completely side with Jinwoo for a while, she only pretends to join him and tries to betray him a couple times. It’s only when Jinwoo actually almost kills her that she finally gives up. You don’t have to worry about a harem here.
Yeah Igris is hard to beat, he is my favourite too. But I also really like Iron, his time is kinda getting cut too unfortunately. Iron is the funny one that kinda gives me drax vibes from guardian of the galaxy.
Its crazy to me that Jinwoo showing emotion becomes the most disliked episode. Curing his mum was his motivation until this point, and achieving that and happy crying about it is FUCKING WHOLESOME. Him showing emotion and being disliked is crazy. And I was so happy he got to accomplish, and so surprised that it didn’t take the whole series to do. Now his focus will be on understanding where his powers come from and why he has the ability to gain ranks.
Yep, what you are experiencing with Solo Leveling is what I am experiencing with Invincible. Why is it so hard for people to not spoil things. (I wanna talk more about Invincible in a later paragraph). But yeah, Beru is what the Ant king gets called. I wouldn’t have told you that if you didn’t already know.
I was making those jokes too with the camera man. I read the manga ages ago so I don’t remember every detail. Like I don’t remember all the survivors of this arc and my brother and sister were all saying ‘The only survivor I am confident in is the camera man.’

So invincible, I absolutely loved season 3. And your reaction with Cha-hae In in solo leveling is how I felt with Eve in Invicible. When Conquest removed a third of her face and split her spine in half, one might say I was a little worried. Of course I remember how her powers work from the Atom Eve special, but in the moment you kinda forget about that and just go ‘jesus christ can she recover from this.’ And I am totally surprised they actually killed Rex. I remember his survival being an ass pull in season 2, but then this happens and I am sad he is gone. But then it was already foreshadowed in season 2 when future eve called Robot Rex. But this season left me with an itch I needed to scratch and now I am gonna start buying the Invincible comics. I still don’t know if I will read it before waiting for the next season cause I am loving the animation…. But I want the comics now haha.

My favourite are Solo Leveling, Re:Zero and Apothecary Diaries. Next season though is looking a lot slower. Next season it seems there is only really Lazuras, Loser Ranger, Fire Force and Your Forma. Your Forma is a light novel I am reading that takes inspiration from Psycho Pass. It will be the first time a Light Novel I have read is getting an adaptation. If it gets a good adaptation that I one I would recommend you watching. How is your next season looking?

How did you feel about Danmachi? This season was really good. Im kinda said Ais and Aisha kinda got side lined for the whole war games. Your girl got to shine though so I am sure you are pleased xD From what I have read though the anime is actually close to the end. My guess is we will only get 1 more season until Danmachi is completely finished. And we may finally get an answer to who canonically is best girl (not that either of our minds will b e swayed by who he actually picks).

Alright, speaking of ships. Have any of the new girls in 100 girlfriends tempted you into a new best girl? If I remember correctly your best girl was Kusuri (the loli scientist). Mine was Karane and that hasn’t changed with all the new additions. None of the new girls have really threatened that, I think my favourite of the new ones is the maid. Mei the maid. But that could be because we have a mutual love for the Milf xD I wonder if we will get 1 more girl before the end or if this is our cast for the next 2 episodes.

Oh I didn’t know this was the last season of Nocturne. I guess I assumed it would just get 4 aswell like the original Castlevania. Good to know you think it was better than the previous season. Cause I will still say I was a little let down by that season. And season 2 just came out at an unfortunate time. I mentioned I watched it with my siblings, we always have 1 show we watch together. And unfortunately right now all the shows we watched together all have sequels. Like this season alone we are watching Solo Leveling, Apothecary Diaries, Linked Clink and Toilet Bound Hanako. Keeping up with all of those, when all 3 of us are available is taking up all our Castlevania time rn. We will 100% get around to it though and Ill let you know when that happens. It will be faster than watching the AoT finale.

So about Orb. What happened here is in Australia we had a cyclone and I lost power for 5 days. In preparation for the cyclone I looked for a series I could download on Netflix and after hearing Garnt and Connor sing praises of Orb I downloaded 24 episodes off Netflix before I lost power. So Orb is the first anime since like my Uni days that I binged a whole show in like 2 days (cause what else is there to do without power haha). So long story short I really liked orb. Getting into the details it reminded me a lot of To Your Eternity. It is a story with multiple time skips which results in multiple main characters. My only problem with this is its hard to really like someone cause they probably aren’t gonna be around for the next time skip. But you seemed to have less of a problem with that than me when it came to To Your Eternity. So I think you would really like it. As I understood it, the theme seemed to be that silencing the radical beliefs of an individual wouldn’t stop their word from spreading. So you would follow a group as they researched blasphemous things and once they finally got caught you would see what their influence was a generation later. I still gave it a 9 despite not being a fan of constantly swapping main characters cause it was very interesting and the characters were written really well. I would recommend it and love to talk about it with you if you watch it. Since I binge watched it I think that helps me with remembering some details I would otherwise miss or forget when watching it weekly

I have returned from the promised land of weebs and snow and returned to the country of heat and deadly animals. I am pleased to announce you are still the only person able to say they snow boarded into a bear. And I didn’t break either of my shoulders. The snow in Japan was WAY better than New Zealand. The powder was so thick there was essentially no fall damage and I be as stupid as I wanted on the board without fear of injury. Which is still probably the wrong way to go about it but hey, no broken bones is no broken bones. Now to catch up on weeks worth of airing shows like Re:Zero, Danmachi and SOLO LEVELING.

I have actually heard talks about an Elden Ring adaption, I don’t know if it would be live or animated though. And I also don’t know if it is just rumors of something that would be cool if it was actually real. I would be so hyped for an Elden Ring adaption though. It has such a convoluted story that an adaption would only help with understanding what is going on. When I initially finished the game I googled a tonne about it and I still don’t know everything. It is a super interesting story though and I would totally be hyped for it.

So what happened is the Welcome to Noxus Cinematic was basically announcing they are officially merging the in game lore with the arcane lore. I am pretty sure…. Don’t take my word as 100% fact. But before arcane was borrowing from in game lore to make a world the gamers would like but wasn’t 100% the same. But as arcane continued it did stray further and further away from in game lore like with Viktor for example. In game Viktor went down the technology route by essentially becoming a cyborg and mad scientist inventor but in Arcane he went in the complete other direction with religion. And now in game they changed Viktor to be the arcane version and the new season in the game is now season 1. So I am pretty sure Welcome to Noxus was stating now both in game and Arcane will have the same lore. Mel also just got added to the game.

This isn’t the first cinematic but I think it is the first major one that appealed to people outside of just the league of legends community. I know you have already seen it, but incase you didn’t know Katarina is the first antagonist you see. The red haired chick with the scar over her eye. Darius (the guy that fisty cuffs with the ice troll) is also in this cinematic. In fact most of the bad guys in this are from Noxus, the guy that gets mauled by the tiger is Darius’s brother. Back to Katarina though I really like her, although in game I play the one she is fighting more. Elise (The spider assassin) I play more, but idk much about her as a character. I’m seeing so much about shipping Katarina with Elise just cause they were fighting in this cinematic which is so stupid haha, and Katarina already has a love interest so good luck gooners.

Frieren and Dandadan are easily top 3 for me aswell. The only real contenders are sequels for other shows I already love like Bleach and Solo Leveling. I am struggling to think of a new show that could even compete. But it is also early in the year so PLENTY of time for that to change.

I have some devastating news. The Attack on Titan movie did come to Australia as I knew it would. But it PERFECTLY chose to come ONLY while I was in Japan. So I 100% intended to finally watch the conclusion of Attack on Titan, my first and one of my favourite anime ever….. and it came only for the 2 week period I wouldn’t be here. Not only did it come while I wasn’t here, it came while I was in the country of its origin. How much of a slap in the face is that. Now I don’t know when I will finally watch the end of Attack on Titan. I am actually quite disappointed by this.
I am very surprised you didn’t get Your Name actually. I thought that would be like the bare minimum a cinema would get to airing anime. So did you get the One Piece Red movie? I know One Piece is a massive cultural phenomenon, but I would still think one of the most commercially successful movies like Your Name would make it with just how big it was on release. Even my non weeb friends knew about that movie.

So my brother preordered Elden Ring Nightreign for me while I was in Japan so that I would have to play it with him. He knows my aversion to Rogue-Lite’s so he decided to make it a present to guilt me into playing it cause I would never waste a present. So it looks like I am committed to playing it now haha. You are very lucky to have 2 friends that will play it with you cause that is the other problem we face now. Currently Nightreign is only 1 or 3 player. So either my brother and I are gonna have to find someone else or hope they change it to include 2 player before it releases. But yeah, even if it is a massive good surprise there is no chance it will be as amazing as the main game.

I did not know Fate Strange Fake was gonna have this rough of a release schedule. I know the first movie got released ages ahead of the series. But when episode 1 released I thought it was gonna be a normal schedule. Now I realise you were right for waiting. So you will watch it when it isn’t a weird release? I really wanna see it cause I will eat up anything fate related at this point. But I don’t even know when episode 2 is wtf!?!?!

So what do you think of Solo Leveling so far. I definitely compare Jinwoo to Wei Wuxian cause these necromancer main characters gotta be my favourite type of protagonist. And some of the things Jinwoo does later…. OH BOY I hope you are prepared. He is an amazing main character and I almost got a tattoo of him (I ended up getting frieren instead at the last second haha). I need to catchup on the episodes since I am 3 behind cause of Japan. But from what I have seen on the internet you have met the elf chick in the secret dungeon? I really like her, she is second best girl after Pick Axe Girl. I am also very happy we got to see Cha-hae In with her pick axe (Jinwoo brings it up again later how that was her weapon and its hilarious). But I don’t know what you have seen with the Elf girl so I wont say anything about her yet. Jinwoo’s army is raising though with Iron, Tank and Tusk and it is only gonna get stronger and stronger. And the abilities Jinwoo gets with controlling his shadows gets pretty sick too. And his dad just destroying an S rank hunter. I feel like so much has happened since we last spoke… I hope you kept your list of notes ;P
My problem with Sakamoto Days was just that it didn’t stick out enough. I didn’t think it was bad or anything. Its gimmick of him being Fat just wasn’t enough to stay interesting for me. Its kind of like a mix of Way of the Househusband and Spy x Family except I found it less entertaining than both. Its kinda like how I found Kaiju No.8 to be a worse Attack on Titan. It didn’t do enough to maintain my interest and I kinda just stopped reading it after about 60 chapters I think I got up to. The difference with Kaiju No.8 though is I still liked it enough to want to watch the anime and know how the manga ends. Sakamoto Days I do not have that drive. So I don’t think its bad, it just didn’t do enough to keep my attention. Are you enjoying it though?
And how was Castlevania btw? I have not watched season 2 yet, is it better than season 1? If you remember I wasn’t that big a fan of season 1 but I will still give season 2 a chance. The thjing is though I watch Castelvania with my siblings and we are watching Hunter x hunter right now. SO we will probably watch Castlevania after a HxH arc or something. If we wait till we finish the anime it will be a very long time before we watch Castlevania haaha

While playing Elden Ring I found it a little hard to follow the lore. But I am also one of those players that went DEEP into the lore after finishing the game. I loved playing it so much I had to know what was going on, then tried to understand it better as I played it a second time. I think I got a pretty good grasp on it now…. And Godfrey is badass af. Ive done it with most Fromsoftware games aswell, just probably not as in depth as Elden Ring since it is the best one ;P
One of my favourite bits of lore that can go completely missed in game is Cleanrot Knight Finlay. When Melania and Radahn fought to a draw and both were pretty much at deaths door. Finlay was part of Malenia’s force and carried her all the way back to the Haligtree solo while defending her from all the dangers of Caelid…. The red desert place with all the giant dogs and crows and shit. Finlay is one of the ghost spirits you can summon.
But yes, let us pray for more animated Lord of the Rings. The amount of dog shit they keep making sequels for, surely they give more of a chance for something actually good that just didn’t receive great reception.

You are correct, Ezreal is who you think he is and that part in the music video shows how he is an explorer doing Indiana Jones ass things and trying to steal from temples haha. The girl he is with that he goes back for is Kai’sai and she is also very popular. The region she is from though wasn’t mentioned in the up coming projects though, so unless she is a visitor like Ambessa was we may not see her for a while. Also on the topic of Ezreal though, when this cinematic released the game released a bunch of skins. Now you may recognise the top 2 >.> The skins they released for Katarina and Elise were in the teaser, the middle right is Valdimir whom was talking to Leblanc…. And the bottom left is Ezreal. Coincidence?
I too make a point to rewatch the cinematics every now and then, usually whenever a new one comes out I watch a chunk of them cause they are so good. Everything about league besides the game is fantastic haha

The chainsaw man movie is 100% canon. It is a direct sequel and will have major character introductions. You may not be able to see it on release (I feel for you my friend), but it is not a filler movie you can skip.
What I do find interesting is your use of rarely….. what does make it to your cinema? Only like the MAJOR ones like Your Name? Do you recon the Attack on Titan Final movie will make it? That’s how I intend to watch it.

Yep, I have already watched HxH twice, my sister once and brother 0. Now all those numbers are about to become plus 1. I don’t do a lot of rewatching in general, this would be my third most rewatched show actually. The only shows I have seen more than 3 times are Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Monogatari series. All in my top 10 ;)

I played every game nominated for the game of the year and my opinion was ‘anything but Astrobot’…. And Astrobot won. A travesty I tell you, absolutely foul. No resident Evil news was pretty sad. I would love an update on Resident Evil 9, Revelations 3 or a remake of 5. Something. I don’t know how I feel about the Elden Ring announcement tbh. My least favourite genre of game is a rogue-like. Which if you don’t know is the type of game where you start from the start anytime you die. Which is what Nightreign is sounding like. So that is a little concerning but I would love to believe in Elden Ring and Fromsoftware.
Actually when it comes to games I don’t look forward to a lot but play a lot. 80% of the games I play I don’t even know about until they are out. Then I hear about how much they are loved and I go play them myself. So if I were to list the ones I am already excited for that is a very short list…. Shorter than yours haha. All I know about this year to be excited for is Gears of War: E-Day, GTA VI and RE9. Yet I have no doubt I am gonna play tonnes I don’t even know about yet.

Oh no, mostly worked over the holidays? Didn’t get much time off? I only got a week off from work which was less than most and I was pretty salty. Am already back at work and sad ;_; Had good time off though. You still manage to enjoy the Christmas season?

So yeah, Fate Strange/Fake is the only new series I plan to watch really. Besides that I have all the sequels: Solo Leveling, Apothecary Diaries and 100 Girlfriends.
Looking at it now that is quite the quiet season for me actually. Am I really only watching 4 shows? Guess I will wait to see if any sleeper hits make it to my attention.

The start anyway, he kept saying he really wanted me to read it, but then when it ended he said the ending was really rushed. That kinda put me off reading it, but then there are series with rushed endings that overall I still loved. So I recon Ill give the anime a try.
I hope you are hyped af for Solo Leveling. The only worry I had was how they would animate the shadow army. After seeing S02E02 I am no longer worried. With that alleviated there is only HYPE now. He has his bad ass arise necromancy powers and will grow his army and only fun is to be had HAHAHA

So this straight up looks like a teaser for what I thought they would do next.... Noxus!! Every person in this cinematic is a playable champion, even that troll in the 1v1 that already appears to be dead?!?! Is this like showcasing which champions will be featured cause if so that is soooo stacked. The 2 assassin girls fighting eachother in that like ballroom setting are Elise (spider) and Katarina, both of whom I like alot. And we FINALLY see LeBlanc haha at the very end. That isnt quite how I imagined she would look, this animation makes her look older than I anticipated but im so happy to finally see her in something haha. And I was very surprised to see Mel here, I didnt think we would see anyone from Arcane so soon. It makes sense for her to be here considering this is where her mum is from, but I still didnt think there would be any cross over characters from Arcane since so many new stories need to be told. But having a cinematic that is basically a sequel from arcane and a teaser for the new champions is sooo cool. Anyone in it stand out to you?

Ill respond in full when I can, but I wanted to quickly address your seasonals. I found it odd that you didnt mention Fate Strange/Fake. I also find it odd that MAL doesnt have it as airing since the first episode is already out and has been for a few days. Anyway, wanted to mention it incase you over looked it cause it is probably the only new show I am excited for besides sequels..... Sakamoto Days is gonna be another Oshi no Ko for me this season I think >.< I shall stew alone in my distaste for that series

I noticed it was getting review bombed and that is just a shame. I didnt know anything about this movie, that it was going to be about how Helm's Deep got its name or that it was about an unamed character or what not. I just wanted to see a lord of the rings film and I enjoyed what I saw. My only complaints were the lack of new fantasy species and that they abandoned that 'zombification decease' plot that the war elephant had. Which overall is minor compared to how much I enjoyed the movie. And not knowing anything certainly added to my enjoyment. Like I thought for sure Freca was coming in with some underhanded plan to kill Helm in the 1v1 so I was absolutely shocked when he got obliterated and I wouldnt have enjoyed that moment as much if I knew Helm was gonna play a bigger role in the movie.
I can totally believe the octopus being an addition (which is why I wish it was explored more in the movie) but was the troll an addition? I recon for sure we have seen trolls before. And I gotta know if you made the Godfrey comparison too. When Helm was duking it out fists only with a troll.... idk how much Elden Ring lore you know, but Godfrey is the one that wiped out the Fire Giants and left only one left as a guard (the one that ends up being a boss fight). So the fact that Godfrey wiped out the giants, and in this we get Helm fighting a troll with almost the same visual look xD I too hope we do get more animated LotR projects, and that it is an ABSOLUTE SHAME this is apparently not doing to well. Hopefully they can see the potential and not just abandon it based in poor numbers on the frist go.

Well what do you believe with Jinx? Do you believe any of the theories or are you just gonna wait and see? Well of course Viktor's unification isnt exactly the same. Erin's wasnt exactly the same as Lelouch's either.... but the core idea is very similar. Im just trying to get my point across that I dont think season 2 was as good as season 1, while still being very good. Like if I could rate them on MAL season 1 would be 10 and season 2 would be 9.
And no I still have not watched the end of AoT >.< But in Japan recently they released a compilation movie of both 'The Final' episodes with extra scenes... which is where I was seeing all the Goth Mikasa art from xD When that comes to Australia which I am pretty sure it will, I recon that will be when I finally watch the end of AoT.
One character they didnt use is Ezreal, who is arguably one of the fan favourite male characters and all I really know about his lore is he is an explorer (so he could show up in any location really and it make sense).... and alot of people ship him with one of the main characters from Demacia (Lux). Which is 1 of the 3 next locations. So he is a very high possibility. I am not sure about the others though. Even with more League projects announced I highly doubt they will ever get around to including everyone in a series.

The end of the Dandadan season was so weird. It just stopped, not even like a season cliff hanger. Like if you didnt know it was the end of the season you would totlaly expect another episode next week. Just a very odd place to stop. This is a longer arc it is starting so I know it wouldnt complete it by the end of this season, but I also didnt think it would stop there.... that is kind of evil.
Btw there is a trailer for the next part in the chainsaw man saga, the Reze movie. It looks sooooooooo good, I am so pumped for more chainsaw man omg. And Solo Leveling!

I am actually considering rewatching HxH very soon. I watched it by myself, then with my sister, and now I am considering showing it to my brother haha.
I doubt I will ever read it, I have heard many say like you that the anime is just better. I very much dislike manga panels that read like novels. As someone who does read Light Novels, I am fine with only words. But when I am reading a novel that is what I expect. When I am reading a manga I expect art with dialogue to provide context. Not a novel disguising itself as a manga.
I can only pray that the manga somehow manages to finish and then they adapt it. This however is one of many prayers that I am sure will go unanswered.

Funnily enough Witcher 4 and Elden Ring were the only things I cared about... and they were at the very start. It was all downhill from there haha. All the way down to Astro Bot winning game of the year. Stellar Blade was my game of the year and it didnt even get nominated so I was never gonna be truly happy. But Astro Bot was literlally the only game I didnt think deserved game of the year. It is a great game dont get me wrong, but it is just nostalgia bait. Its a feel good game to rememebr past playstation titles. It was a fun play but compared to Metaphor Refantazio or Black Myth Wukong or Elde Ring Shadow of the Erdtree..... Astro Bot winning I think is very stupid.
This tangent aside, I am very excited for Witcher 4. Elden Ring I am hoenstly sceptical about. from what I have heard it will be a rogue-lite which I am not a fan of. But I also didnt like Souls-likes until I played Elden Ring so I will keep an open mind. But yeah, I am still sceptical.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! I am working right up until Christmas, so I wont be able to enjoy it for a few days now still. But once I am in holiday mode I am sure I will have a great time. As someone who loves Lord of the Rings I really regret reading Rings of Power reviews cause it completely through me off wanting to watch it. Acrobatic Silky girl inst a favourite of mine, but I did go from hating her when she was introduced to thinking she wasn’t that bad. The same thing with the guy that will be introduced soon that you see in the opening. The animation for this adaptation is crazy. The effort into Nessy blasting a Godzilla radiation beam was insane.

I don’t think bad endings are the norm honestly. I more here about average endings. Like for instance Solo Leveling has a pretty average ending (no spoilers). I don’t hear about many amazing endings like Code Geass, or dog shit endings like Promised Neverland xD. Bad endings are definitely more common, and since I dropped Oshi no Ko I didn’t mind spoiling the ending for myself and after reading it…. Yeah I am glad I didn’t bother xD Obviously I am not getting the full picture without the context of the whole series. But I know if I was a fan I would not be satisfied with that ending.
Endings can be hard and I think I am pretty lenient with them. I don’t think One Piece will be bad hated on. I only ever see positive things about one Piece online and I don’t see the fan base turning on it. Same with Berserk. I recon One Piece and Berserk can do whatever they want at this point, they have built enough of a good reputation that even an average ending would be perceived as great.
I guess we shall see in a VERY long time who is right ;P

I actually haven’t seen the last ReZero Episode. Has it gone on hiatus now? Lame, that sucks. I am gonna watch it in the next couple days. Thanks for the recap, I also forgot Gluttony was linked to Crusch’s memories.

If I am gonna be stuck either way, may aswel just continue being stuck on the anime haha. If the manga was finished and I was on this 6 month anime hiatus I may cave. But since that isn’t the case may aswell wait. Its like Hunter x Hunter. I love that anime and want to know how it ends, but since the manga isn’t finished either well what is the point if I am gonna be stuck again.

I am just typically not a fan of spinoffs about children of the previous protagonists. I cant think of a single example of one I have read/watched and enjoyed. The closest I can think of is Avatar The Legend of Korra. But then none of the main cast are children, they just have cameos. I can acknowledge there may be some good ones out there, I just have never been motivated to give them a chance.

I didn’t know about the King’s Avatar adaptation. Are you gonna watch it? I am kinda at capacity with live shows for a while. I am currently watching sitcoms like Always Sunny in Philadelphia. But then I plan to watch The Penguin and Shogun. King’s Avatar is also a show I watch with my siblings so I don’t see me watching the live action unless they want to aswell.
