Your list is very cool after seeing it on the front page! but i feel like there are some omissions I would recommend (at least to read) :0
After School Mate & Claudine are both very good (but the latter being from the 70s does mean its outdated haha) these characters are the mcs/focused entirely on them.
I'm sure there's probably more but i know your list is about protags:)
