I strongly recommend you watch 'Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu' it is a very addicting and funny anime to watch as i am watching it right now!

It has clubs, superpowers, school theme and a very interesting plot :)

Oh and i suggest you should give "Haikyuu" a shot, its a ongoing sports comedy anime, you should love it!

How is Puella Magi Madoka Magica going for you so far?

Uhm... it's a bit hard to explain.
I mean, you get the "comedy" sooner or later, but it's not that regular comedy like you have in K-ON, for example.
The anime makes you laugh out of references and exaggerations regarding the japanese culture and the anime industry.
It's more of a "parody/distorted reality" kind of comedy.
Same of GTO, in case you've watched.
I got myself laughing and saying stuff like "Hahaha. This is so stupid" but not crying out after a huge and awesome gag.
Maybe you should put it on-hold for now and come back to it after a while...

It's a rip-off from Spice & Wolf, but S&W doesn't have the comedy as a strong point, then maybe if you watch MaouYuu first it's enough to get you hooked :P

Yeah Hyouka was very good as how it's mystery can range from very complicated things to yet simple things as well as the "connection" between the characters but i felt trolled at the end >_<
It definitely needs season two as there is still content left in the manga.

I will watch Danshi Koukousei No Nichijou if i am moody someday, seems very uplifting as the way you mentioned it ^^

My little recommendations for you :)

Puella Magi Madoka Magica:
I am speechless, please just watch it, its deep and beautiful......very beautiful..as a guy i'm even touched by this anime.

Gosick:
It possesses detective like mystery, romance, and some light hearted comedy, should be fun for you ;)

Higurashi seasons 1 and 2:
I must warn you that it contains strong atmosphere of horror, gore, mystery, psychological and leaves you biting your nails but has a damn good plot as to why things are happening the way they are.

Those are just some of my utmost favourites however if you don't like them, feel free to delete this comment at your own discretion lol :D
