i am a fan of endearingly drawn variable-stakes human drama with some levity

i watch a lot of fun trash and sometimes not-trash

saving the school club is just as important as saving the world

audio-visual combination is a big deal for me so i'm mostly an anime-only. if i were really into LNs/manga/VNs I'd probably be a lot more critical of flawed adaptations but whatever

i prioritize subjective fun and feeling over plot consistency and pacing. i am interested in 'big picture' satisfaction and can tolerate a lot of weirdness or slowness.

i also enjoy seeing tropes played out to oblivion with minuscule variations. when i stop that is when i quit anime or watch only 3-4 a year

isekai are good as a kind of sweet-tasting aggregate consisting of empty calories

blushing/flustered face as a dead giveaway for embarrassment is my favorite "trope" in the medium. it is quite heartmelting. every single time

no fan apologia or literature nerd-type criticism is needed for me to say that it all comes down to cute drawings, really
