i love to listen power metal a lot too but i am not a metalhead as metal is not the only genre i'm interested in.japanese musicians dominate my music tastes too :D Galneryus is a great band,you may be interested in Syu's old band "Animetal" too.i also recommend "Concerto Moon" and "Sex Machineguns" which have similar style.also "Loudnes"s and "Anthem" (they are more like heavy metal but both are legendary in japanese metal) "SEIKIMA-II" (they're like the japanese version of KISS :D) "Onmyouza"; they're pretty unique,their sound can be described as power/heavy metal with elements from enka/japanese folk."Dragon Guardian" makes anime related symphonic power metal^^hope this helps and you like these bands too :D
