But I don't see how that's not the definition. Everything is different coming from a different pair of eyes, but Nazuna does take advantage of Ko, not in an outright way but she does when he's asleep. He is in minor shock, not complete shock when it happens. You can't really say he gets anxiety or PTSD due to the anime only spanning a few days but I don't see how that isn't sexual abuse. Even so, the incidents after that doesn't show Ko in a state of panic when Nazuna does things to him, and if he does it's more because "Hey people are watching" like with Akira. Sure, that is not the outright definition of sexual abuse, but Nazuna is taking advantage of Ko due to his age, which is predatory and pedophilic behaviour.
My friend also said this perfect statement as to how Ko can't consent and how it is predatory behaviour:
"During the adolescence of a person (yes the teen years) the brain obviously has matured somewhat from what it was when they were a child but not fully. During each period of a person’s life their mentality changes. At adolescence a person believes that what they think is right and believes that it is good, when most of the time it is a wrong decision (but that’s how we learn) Since the male character in the story is only 14 (ignoring all the location and laws of the setting atm) his mentality is quite different then obv the female character (especially since she’s immortal) A young male boy is prone to begin exploring his desires, and thats what makes him a perfect target to an older person, so yes manipulation and abuse is involved''
But I think I am accurately informed about this topic. I understand where you're coming from, cancel culture can be a bit much, but the last thing I want to do is invalidate real victims. Speaking as a victim of pedophilic behaviour, and with friends who are also victims that can agree with me on this, this anime does exhibit pedophilic behaviour that many real life victims do experience. I understand a few people don’t speak for everyone, but I’m confident that other victims can agree. I will not be responding further because I have better things to do. If you wish to argue further, please look at this from the eyes of a young victim and re-evaluate yourself.
Sure a 14 year old boy can know what he wants and doesn't want, same for the vampire in this situation but Ko's consent doesn't matter, it's Nazuna's consent.
Sure, Ko is fine with everything, even trying to fall for Nazuna, but the responsible adult thing for Nazuna to be is to shake him off, or even hit the line of wait till he's older.
I'm also aware it's not defined by laws, but still, the brain is still underdeveloped by 13, and it's emotional and nonsensical as teens are because they're in that state. They are extremely emotional, which makes them easy to take advantage of, which is what older gross people want.
Also, I'll admit my use of the word was wrong and I'll change it to child sexual abuse, but it doesn't make anything any better.
It ended up being a lot worse than I imagined.
Easily the worst non seasonal anime I've completed this year.
I couldn't get into Shadows House all that much.
Didn't care for the characters and plot all that much and I been spoiled by the anime original ending.
It wasn't bad, but it's wasn't anything special outside of good production values.
How's it going?
Been a while.
