Ratings are only based on how much I enjoy / care about the show.
1/10 is for anything I don't care about for whatever the reason.
2/10 and above is different levels for things that are interesting or worth the watch, so consider 2/10 and above to be decent ratings. I didn't want 5 different levels to differentiate between mid and bad shows, so everything being thrown into 1/10 leaves more room to differentiate between the shows I actually like, so you can see my taste more accurately.
Expect harsh ratings for manga that I read the ending of (because of the anime was a few years behind at the time). Even if I enjoyed the ending, I'm not giving a manga a high rating if I have no desire to actually read it properly. In this case its actual rating is probably whatever I gave the anime.
Also expect harsh ratings for movies, I tend not to care about anime movies in any way, probably because I enjoy the longer running stuff.
For manga that I've read the ending of, the chapter I put as 'last read' on MAL is not the actual chapter I'm on but the total amount of chapter I've read, to avoid making my manga reading count inaccurate. So if I read the final 30 chapters of a manga, I'll put the chapter count as 30. I'll put in the notes what chapter I started and what I'm currently on.

Kiki's Delivery is a very good anime in general, but what stands over other casual stories, is kiki's difficulty fitting in the city coming from a rural background, i believe it's especially important for people moving to big cities at any age ...
