I never really thought about that, I could say that the reason I don't like slice of life is because they are always about romance and everything is based on how they get to be together and that's it xD. Its kinda boring that...
I enjoy Seinen, so I'm actually a fan of the gore stuff, so I haven't seen anything that makes me feel bad or disturbing (not counting the real gore videos).
And in general I like to see things that talk about or deal with sensitive topics. And you?
Well, I don't know what to say about that, if you want to continue with your idea in the book go ahead, anyway there are all types of books, if someone doesn't like it they can look for another book and that's it :).
Haha. When I was 10-11, I read every book Stephen King had written so far, so part of my draw to anime was that they were darker and more mature than American TV. I watched anime exclusively for like 15 years until western television started becoming grittier.
Hm, tough question. Iria was what turned me onto anime in the first place, and had a bit of everything, action, conspiracy, hot spunky badass lead, Berserk has a really dear place in my heart and has influenced my own work, and Death Note inspired the kind of dark anti-hero delight, like Breaking Bad, of actually rooting for a villain and reveling in his machinations. Kinda hard to sort them out by enjoyment, but I think Berserk is my overall favorite.
I'd actually forgotten about Elfen Lied. One of my first, too. I've been rewatching a bunch of my old favorites, so should add that to the list. Thanks for the inadvertent reminder, haha.
I would like to read the overlord light novel, but I would like to read it in physical format, since I have concentration problems if I read on the computer xD.
What books have you read by Stephen King? i read the novel shining, carrie and misery. And about Dan Brown I have only read the da Vinci code xd.
That's not going to happen, unfortunately.
I think the only shows I've seen as dark and mature as Berserk while still having good storylines and likeable characters were FMA and Wolf's Rain.
I'm so sorry for the late reply. I'm a huge coffee fan, especially salt coffee (I can't explain this type of coffee well, so please search google), and I came up with the user name when I drank my coffee :> absolutely no brain cells were used at all
Glad I could help. :)
For Angel Cop, I'd recommend the subbed version, as the dub is evidently adlibbed and devoid of any plot. Not that the plot deserves any awards, haha.
(Skadi went off on me once that the show is trash, everything about it is trash, and nobody could possibly enjoy it)
If you are one of the chosen few who actually enjoys it, I'm reminded that some people who like it also like M.D. Geist and Genocyber (I personally didn't care for those).
Well, you probably dropped it cuz you didn't like all the rape, torture, BDSM, and psychological trauma going on. Shit gets crazier each ep, some scenes were pretty fked, like seeing a bitch get electrocuted is kinda fucked.

When someone says "gore", what exactly comes to your mind? what anime or image comes to mind xD.

No, I feel that I don't have enough imagination to make a book, or that the book itself has quality.
And you have tried?
