BL is not explicitly stated because of chinese media restrictions, but a huge part of the fandom agrees that it's there :3 same goes for the producers too lol

the summer hikaru died is also a really good example of that... the poor mc's crush and best friend dies and gets replaced by an eldritch monster... it's not labeled as BL (because the focus of the story isn't romance but rather "coming of age" as the author says), but mc canonically likes his bestie... OH and it has some good horror too :3

Ah, Tsubasa I started the anime before I read the manga but was then left on a cliffhanger from season 2 and left with the OVA's which made no sense since it jumped to something even farther with the whole Syaoron "Capsule" but I am satisfied with Tsubasa. just wished the manga could get an actual adaptation b/c alot of people dont read the manga and get all pissy on how the anime adaptation ends.

Also if you havent heard there will be the final manga adaption to tsubasa which will be coming out this August! Gonna be a absolute fun ride(Sequel to RESERvoir CHRoNiCLE)
