I remember lol. I'm gonna skip a few of your paragraphs because we've been talking for a while and I don't have much else to add for some of them

I wouldn't say Dororo is slowly paced, it's mostly episodic and some of those episodes are kinda meh. I don't really find it interesting enough to sit through all of that stuff. Nah I still haven't watched the other Dororo versions lmao, I'm so shit at sticking to my plans, I just start stuff on a whim. I've been mostly watching long anime like Ranma and Urusei Yatsura this year. I really wanna watch the 1969 Dororo because a bunch of influential industry people like Osamu Dezaki, Yoshiaki Kawajiri, etc. worked on it and it just looks really cool

I haven't watched 86 yet... Like I said I can't stick to my plans, I don't even bother using a watchlist anymore because I know I won't follow it. I'll watch it though I just don't know when

Oh did I say it looked like HxH 1999? My bad, I just meant that they gave off similar vibes because the protagonist is a kid that's stayed in a forest/island his entire life and is now gonna explore the outside world, I wouldn't say they look similar outside of both being cel animation. Hope you like it whenever you get to it. I really wanna watch Bleach too, I've been watching long running anime a lot recently, I did a Kenshin rewatch earlier this year as well and I ended up liking it so much more than I initially did

For anime movies, I guess some stuff that you can't really go wrong with are Tokyo Godfathers, Grave of The Fireflies, Millennium Actress, Letter to Momo. You have any western movie recs? Been meaning to watch more but I can only watch like two a month for some reason lol

I haven't written anything in the past year no, unless you count some anilist entries for anime, I'm trying to fill those out. Responding to this comment is a bit weird after we became discord friends because I've seen those essays now and you're asking here if I wanna see them lol

Idek how to rate stuff anymore I just give them a score that feels right. If something had a big impact on me like that though I'd just give it a 10. I'm not necessarily gonna act like its flawless but I mostly look at what I liked about a work when I rate it. Sorry for the short reply but I really don't wanna think about this too much, I always end up rerating everything when I do lol and it's such a waste of time cause I know I won't be satisfied with it anyway

Nah it's fine I've been busy too which is why I took way longer than usual to reply. Oh you didn't tell me that before, how long are you gonna stay there? Hope it's going well. I've never lived by myself before because I've always had a roommate

I just took the test today and ended up failing😞. I actually did everything fine but I didn't listen to one of the instructions properly and ended up doing something different from what they asked me. I just have to go next week and do everything the same except for that one part. Yeah that system sounds pretty bad. Mine is really convenient in comparison though the actual testing isn't good. They don't even put someone beside you. They just tell you what to do and send you off on your own. It's also harder than usual if you're using a big car like I am, since it's such a narrow track

Yeah it's the same for me, the actual test is nothing like driving in traffic. It's really annoying to fail because I know I would've passed if I had just listened to that one instruction properly. I'm pretty sure I'll get it next week though

I haven't practiced parallel parking but other than that I'm fine at parking. We have to call and schedule an appointment. I don't have anything scheduled rn though, I'll just call when I'm ready. Which will be like two weeks from now maybe. When do you think you'll take yours?

I need to practice reversing but other than that I think I'm ready to take the test. Might try it this or next weekend

Yeah I know what you mean. Also do they have the clutch and brake on the passenger side where you're learning? For us, the instructor has it on his side too and he can stop the car if he wants

Yeah it sounds hard having to go to class every single time you wanna practice. I don't have a manual car though so I can't make the most of it :(

We're allowed to practice driving (with someone that has a license beside us) if we have a learner's license. Though I started practicing before I had one lol. There's a very low chance that the police are gonna stop you and check for a license anyway

Well I'm learning manual in driving class but my parents only have automatic cars so if I wanna practice I use automatic. If you know manual there's not really much to learn with automatic though. Only time you need to switch gears is when you're parking or reversing

Yeah automatic is really easy compared to manual lol. I find switching gears in manual to be really satisfying though, it's so fun
