oh yeah! blue giant, that was a great movie, and i agree, movies are easier to commit to. and fair with reading the romance manga, it's really good. i'm actually hoping cloverworks doesn't butcher it, that's how much i liked it.
also yeah, i have discord. i'm assuming your username is the same as on here? i'll send a friend request soon.

hey chabby, glad that you fixed your kb. and yeah, i'm alive still, although i haven't been active as much. as for a good rec, i don't think this season was good at all, so i would save your time.
i would look at the summer season, which starts in less than a month, for an anime, as there are a lot of good sequels coming out, assuming you've already seen some of those anime like call of the night, kaiju 8, my dress-up darling. if you haven't seen the prequels to those season twos, two original adaptations that i plan to watch (because i read the manga and they look great) are the fragrant flower blooms with dignity (it's fluffy romance that isn't cringe and actually goes somewhere?? impossible) and the summer hikaru died. i read both and liked them.
if you don't feel like waiting and want something to watch right away, two recs which are my personal favs are girls' last tour and keep your hands off eizouken!. or something i'm watching right now that looks promising: sonny boy. if you just want a movie to watch id recommend: look back (quite possibly the best anime movie ive seen in the last 3 years).
if you pick any of these up lmk what you think (please watch look back)
im glad i wasnt the only one caught off guard lol.
also, if you plan on watching any seasonals that arent popular, and you think its good lmk. so far like 10 different anime started airing and its been so easy to ignore them all, but im willing to check some out if its worth the time!
as for movies, one i saw recently and was impressed by was blue giant. had no expectations, never watched a music based thingy before but ended up giving it a 9.
well next season we got demon slayer, mushoku tensei, konosuba, slime, and mha coming back so the hype is gonna shift again rip
true, my guess is because ive seen almost every genre done like 50 times, anything that i see attempt to do something similar again, i just judge it too harshly. was gonna try yap in hopes to cope with jjk being stale, but it is what it is ig.
thats cause those 2 were the best anime released in the last 2 years lol
i genuinely dont have time anymore to watch and ive lost interest tbh, college is stealing all my time :( also anime has gotten boring! who would have thought?!?
SL is terrible writing that just repeats itself. loser>random luck> becomes him > is always there when help is needed > gets the girl > repeat the cycle for all the arcs
like dont get me wrong, i love terrible writing that follows the same format but knows that its not good. sl takes itself too seriously for something as bad as it is.
thats cool, kubo was defo a cute anime. i remember when it was airing the hype the manga readers gave it rightfully so (including myself). also ive been pretty good, thinking about cutting back on watching every seasonal given its coming to an end and eventually stop completely. but thats hard considering we have like 5 insane anime airing in a couple of days.
ahh solo leveling, i have my opinions about it but it is entertaining for sure. i hope you like it!

any thoughts? 8 is pretty high, so im assuming it caught you off guard with how good it was (trust me i was very impressed/surprised by it too).
