A work doing everything right but with nothing special can at most be an 8. Any above has a sparkle to it:
-Good story is valued over incredible art. As long as art suffices it doesn't take points away.
-Except in specific stories, endings can either +1, -1 or +0 a story.
-Good direction in anime is extremely valued.
Manga example: Siúil, a Rún's art is more than enough to guarantee a 10, the story is a ~6, ending +0 --> 7.
Anime example: Gimai Seikatsu's story is a 7, art is horrid, 2, direction is brilliant: nullifies the production limitations --> 7.
10, 9 = Must watch/read
8 = Very good watch/read, very recommended
7 = Good watch/read, recommended
6 = Fine watch/read, good for sating an urge, not recommended if not
5 or below = Not recommended
I do not rate light novels because I don't consider manga and light novels to be similar enough to rate them in the same list.

I don't think the soundtrack and those "changes" are enough to ignore how beautifully done the episode was. I think it was,without a doubt,one of the best episodes in the series. A perfect adaptation with the right soundtrack would be a 10,this was either a 7 or an 8. I think it was good enough. I'd be glad to know your thoughts.
To me, giving something a 1 means it has no redeeming qualities. Oshi no Ko does. It truly was amazing up until the final arc. Even if the ending completely ruins the story for you, there is no denying that you still enjoyed the series until then. It would make perfect sense for you to give it a 5, a 4, or even a 3. But a 1? That doesn't make any sense.
I won't try to change your mind on the ending or any of your opinions (I don't agree with doing that unless somebody doesn't have anything to back up their opinions). I just think that the score is harsh considering you loved the story.
