Been waiting Anime since 1995 or so... when a NY area station Channel 11 (which would later be a WB, and even later a CW affiliate) showed Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon in the US for the first time... and a NJ area station (which would later be a UPN and even later a My Network affiliate) showed an edited version of Tekkaman Blade (made known in the US then as Teknoman)... Watched many a show, many a series...

Attended my first Anime convention in 2001... Shoujocon in East Brunswick, NJ.

Cosplayed for the first time (as Main Character/Protagonist/Souji Seta) from the Persona 4 video game) in July 2009... at Otakon.

My first/only visit to an anime con outside of the US: Anime North in Toronto, 2011.

Attended many conventions: AnimeNEXT, MangaNEXT, Otakon, NYAF (it was better before it merged with NYCC), Anime Boston, Zenkaikon amongst a few others

I do have some anime pet peeves/dislikes, few though.

I would like to think that I've learned many things though watching certain anime/reading certain manga over the years. In fact, I think I'm better off/a better person because of it.
