To be honest, it's funny how Summer 2024 was such a disappointment, while Summer 2025 is packed with a lot of promising new series and sequels.
I am interested in Gachiakuta, Dandadan S2, The Summer Hikaru Died, and Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku.
Congratulations! I hope it is a move for good reasons; I know how stressful moving can be, so I hope you can settle without any problems.
Don't worry, so far, the amount of good anime that aired in the past two seasons is counted. Which movies have you been watching?
It's been a while since I last heard heavy metal; I don't know much from the past, which bands have you been listening to? Any recommendation? Sometimes it is good to change things a bit.
Oh no, I hope it sucked in the sense of how hard it was instead of it to fail; there is nothing worse than spending so much time in something that just didn't survive. I am glad to hear the newer one turned out way better :) There is nothing better than enjoying work; that way, it doesn't feel like pressure.
I am doing fine, I can't complain. I am finishing watching the anime I chose for this season; I must say, in my opinion, Spring 2025 was quite a weak season. With that being said, Summer 2025 seems like a very promising season.
How have you been? Are you watching or reading something interesting? How has 2025 been treating you?
I cared for almost all the characters that we see throughout Mushishi, which is an impressive thing that the author was able to do. You are also completely right! They did feel completely real and they all fit naturally into the Mushishi world.
Also, I see that you are a fan of Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou! It's actually the next series I plan on reading and I am really looking forward to it.
Mushishi is a fantastic anime! One of my favourites too. So beautiful and the vibes of it are on another level, feeling haunting, yet relaxing at the same time. Anything particular about Mushishi that makes it your favourite? I'd love to hear your thoughts past the notes on your list :).
I love the Ginko pfp :D.
I have watched some Reverse-harems stories, and they can be sometimes quite good and interesting; they are a bit less disgusting than normal harem stories that focus on a male MC. Nevertheless, Reverse-harems are also problematic sometimes, and Diabolik Lovers is apparently peak toxicity.
I have been a bit lazy this past few weeks over the anime I am watching; I am currently watching Devilman Crybaby on Netflix, and although I like the darkness in the story and the realism of teenage portrayal, I have still been a bit lazy on watching those 10 episodes.
Vending-machine isekai is not a 10/10, to be honest, but it is very entertaining and unique.
To this day I cannot understand why so many viewers hated the animation; I feel it was very fluid and properly adapted the art of the manga.
I heard the animation and art of the animation of Blue Period were bad, but I didn´t think it was that detrimental, especially because for an art anime people obviously were going to have expectations. I don´t know why, but it reminds me of that Nanatsu no Taizai season that horribly adapted one of the most expected fights and gave some of the nastiest scenes ever made.
I read that it was something like him being in his final year of high school and her being in her second year of college; they technically could have met in high school at some point. Now that I think about it, I don´t remember any anime focusing on college romance. Other than that is middle school romance, high school romance, or adult romance; I can´t complain about the last one I mentioned because I really enjoyed Wotakoi hahaha. Still, it would be interesting to see more romance anime focusing on college couples.
There is an anime that is about romance and vampires; I have always read is one of the trashiest and most toxic anime ever made, which is Diabolik Lovers hahaha. The episodes are short, so maybe on Haloween, I will watch it.
Aside from Dark Gathering, and Undead Girl Murder Farce that are some that called my attention, but I am going to watch them after a few more episodes air, I haven´t heard a thing about Ai no Idenshi, and even less about Lv1 Maou to One Room Yuusha. Yes, I am watching the vending machine Isekai hahaha; it is a very weird concept, but so far it has been funny, and even very wholesome somehow.
I watched Chainsaw Man because of all the hyped there was for the manga; I did enjoy it quite a lot, the characters were funny and interesting, and the ending songs were spectacular. My favorite ending songs were the ones sung by Aimer and Eve. I am not sure if there is going to be an S2; I have read several articles that the anime did not sell well in merchandise, DVD, and Bluray. Still, there are a lot of rumors saying one is coming.
For real? What is your opinion of the Blue Period? I read some of the manga chapters, and it had a very nice art style; I haven´t watched the anime yet.
I felt a bit odd about the relationship between the main character since I think she was in college and he was finishing high school; I think there were one or two years of difference, but still. I read on a MAL thread that there was already a Twitter pointing out that point. Nevertheless, I agree that the predictability of the story made it a bit boring.
I saw that one of its genres is vampires, and I have to admit I am not the biggest fan of that. Although I think the plot is quite interesting, a vampire helping people from other supernatural beings, it kind of reminds me of the anime Bem. I just heard the first OST and, even though I haven´t watched the anime, I feel it suits it hahaha; it is kind of dark, and the Jazz rock suits perfectly.
That is very understandable. I kind of get your point about how the monsters look like animals, and indeed they lowkey resemble the titans. I think the regular monsters are based on animals and bugs, while the main villains are based on plants and flowers.
Since you watch the seasonal anime after they end, right now I recommend you to watch Zom 100 when it finishes airing; the first episode was impressive and felt very real. The second episode was also good, but now I want to see how things develop from now on.
I saw you are watching Tengoku Daimakyou and Yamada-kun to Lv999. I watched the former and found it disturbing at times, especially some weird babies that appeared at some point; I hope you enjoy it. For the latter, I watched the first episode but did not convince; I did not add it as a drop since I don´t think I watched enough. It was not for me.
Interesting opinion; I might rewatch it to see if I can see your point of view. I read the manga and enjoyed it a lot; I consider the monster's designs very unique and amazing. Are you going to watch season 2?
I am glad that you are enjoying it :)
By the way, I saw you also watched Jigokuraku. What is your opinion of the anime?
I hope you enjoy it! It is a very wholesome and cute anime. I hope it receives a second season.
I am glad to hear that.
I decided to give Skip and Loafer a try after a lot of people recommended it to me; best decision ever hahaha. I love the openings, the characters, and Mitsuri a lot.
By the way, I know is very late to say this; but I hope you had a very happy birthday hahaha (Sorry for writing this so late).
For real? Maybe I´ll watch it after it ends.
