Our FMC is a prominent IRL streamer and the MC is a haiku writer.
The story starts by the classic switcheroo in which both protagonists somehow bump into each other, they see each other and then they pick their possessions as fast as possible and run away. The FMC picked the guys phone and vice versa. They return each other cellphone and start contacting more frequently.
The thing that really annoyed me about this movie is how slow it is, how bad the dialogues are, and the illogical, improbable absurdities.
You see, during the movie, we know that Cherry (haiku kid) works as a person who interacts with elderly people and one of them owns a vinyl disc shop and is trying to find a vinyl disc, so Cherry and Smile (streamer girl) decide to help, they search through the vinyl disc shop, it is stupid how the disc is behind a refrigerator, anyways, Smile sees that the disc is blended and she tries to straighten it but it shatters, so retarded, she proceeds to glue it but it can't be played. It also fucking happens that the clock of the elderly center is a fucking disc with a clock mechanism... 30 minutes of the show lost in this bullshit.
In other occasion, we know that Cherry is going to move out of town the day of the Summer Festival (Smile doesn't know this). One day, Cherry's mom goes to the elderly center to pick up Cherry and to farewell, in that instance, Smile gets to know the unfortunate event!
Summer Festival day, Cherry is moving out but his friends give a message to him, he asks to stop the car in the middle of the freaking highway, runs to the festival and gives a powerful haiku through a megaphone, everyone is happy. At the end of the movie both kiss. They just knew each other for maximum 1 month...
Art and Sound are great but won't change my score nor perception of this atrocity.
Stupid anime, the same as Your Name. Nothing emotive, all I felt is stupidity, from beginning to end, while I was suffering through mental torture because of the boredom invading my soul.
