Now for this week I was looking for the Haruhi movie... Maybe next week, but I decided to grab some some other movies instead along with a spotlight purchase.

ANIME:Three purchase, two funimation and one Bandai.

Here up front is the Cowboy Bebop Movie, on blu ray, released by Bandai.

There's nothing much I can really say, it's in a regular blu ray, you can watch it in it's highest quality, and it's Cowboy Bebop, what else can I say?
Do I recommend it? Yes for obvious reasons and the blu ray is $13.99 in stores and cheaper online, people go buy it.

Number two is something I should have bought earlier yet it was better to have waited, especially since it's Evangelion 1.11 You are (not) alone on dvd, released by funimation.

Here we go, another cheap and well worth it anime movie, not only that it's the special edition, the 1.11 version that comes with a whole other dvd full of extras, it is also very cheap. I found my copy for $13.99, but it's less than even $10 online, I couldn't be more happy with this dvd(s). The package is also well made, looks great, the cover looks awesome, and shows that funimation is willing to put out a great product at low prices.
Do I recommend it? I full heartily recommend it, it's a great start of a remake of a legendary series, and at a generously low price as well, I recommend picking this up before the getting the cowboy bebop blu ray.

And finally, one of the ones I said I would buy, Spice&Wolf Season 2, on dvd blu ray combo pack, limited edition, released by Funimation.

After releasing season 1 almost 2 years, funimation finally put out season 2, and it looks gorgeous. It's in one of funimation's new limited edition packaging, in a hard sturdy casing with cover art by the novel writer on both sides. But also has a dvd case inside that's almost identical to the viridian re-release of spice&wolf season 1, by that I mean it's dvd design is very consistent with the previous release, the side cover, the dvd covers, the front cover spelling of the title on the front cover, etc, etc...
This makes me happy, as you can even slip in both season 1 and season 2 in the same hard casing, and it'll look like it was meant to be that way (It's especially helps that the hard case just Spice&Wolf, no season 1 or two subtitle), resulting in less space being taken up on my shelf. But, the pricing however, is a little steep than what most fans can usually afford, for only the limited edition though.
Regular goes for about $39.99 at about anywhere, offline or online stores, limited though, my copy was $45.99, but online I've seen the price reach up to $60 already, soooo, find your limited edition copy soon, before the prices can kick your wallet's ass.
Do I recommend it? I have yet to watch season 2 (But heard it's better than season 1 so I'm looking forward to that), but the packaging, the consistently of it, the overall the whole look of it, is worth the price (Which you're actually paying for the dvd and blu ray versions) that any spice&wolf fan would appreciate the quality work Funimation put into it.

Manga:Nothing but viz this week, but it's also nothing but early releases too, both that were supposed to be out in October.

The first manga I grabbed early this week is Rosario Vampire Season 2 volume 6, released by Viz Media.

There's something that other viz manga volumes don't do that volumes of rosario vampire season 2 do, they come with little posters featuring the characters, but the cover of volume 6 needs to be corrected, in the corner it's says two free mini posters inside, but it's actually just a two sided color page, the same size of the average manga volume page, I wouldn't addressing this normally, but the last volume, #5, was a fold out mini poster, so it's a bit of a let down by false advertising, but then again, how many manga come with color pages anyway? And of course the quality is as you expect viz to release, good quality with no complains.

And finally, a new series that have been running in the pages of the US shonen Jump since last year finally gets it first volume released, Psyren volume 1, released by Viz Media.

I've been reading it in shonen jump, and thought, "Why not grab volume 1? I like Psyren so far," and yeah, the release is pretty average viz release, decent quality with no complains, but one silly nit pick: Why is the R backwards? That's going to mess with me for a while.
Do I recommend it? Sure if you're tired of Naruto and Bleach like everyone else is, then this should be a good pick me up for those shonen burned out readers that are tired of endlessness disappointment.

Overall: Dvd wise, fucking fantastic, low priced great movies, and great packaging from funimation, and for manga, Viz may have messed up a wee bit, but the manga volumes themselves are of good quality.

A big fat A for this week.

Next week I hope my luck with finding the haruhi movie isn't as fruitless as Haruhi's search for her uncommon creatures, and I'm hoping that a certain invader reached my shores as well.
