It's the season to give, and the season to buy, and hot damn did I buy! It's been awhile since I grabbed a haul this big, it's mostly manga though (Yet I really wanted to buy more but other things had more priority, next week will be a better time for those things).

ANIME:Just one title, but it's the next continuation of an unending series from Funimation.

This time around I grabbed One Piece: Collection 3, released by Funimation.

Do you know what's special about this certain dvd set? Why this set includes an entire story arc the original 4kids version completely skipped out on (For those who don't know, it's the arc where the crew travels to the island where two giants fight each other and where the straw hats fight Mr.3) essentially making this set more valuable to One Piece fans, especially since Funimation's dub does this anime justice.
But other than that, there isn't much else to say about this set that doesn't apply to has been said about the previous ones: Slip cover + Average dvd case + it's actually two previously released dvd sets put together = A generally decent package priced at $24.99 at most stores (Cheaper online, but then there's shipping to worry about).
Do I Recommend It? Definitely, Especially to the One Piece faithful who missed out on these episodes the first time around.

MANGA:I believe this is the biggest haul I've had for manga so far, 5 titles including two from Kodansha, two from Yen Press, and one from Del Rey.

As for anyone who has been reading this blog, ya'll might get confused with this one and there's a story for that, Higurashi: When They Cry Atonement Arc volume 2 Series volume 16, released by Yen Press.

Volume sixteen? Where's fifteen? Well, how about a story about brick and mortar store and their release schedule bullshit. A good time ago I was ready to grab volume 8 of the higurashi series, That was August 2010 when it was supposed to be in stores, I didn't get volume 8 until more than a year from then, despite that I got the volumes that were released after. And now, the same shit is apparently going again, because it's been since August 2011 that I got volume 14, and now I got 16... Retail stores are retarded, I need to go online so much more often.
But enough of story time, volume sixteen is decent, 4 four chapters worth that are at least 45 pages long each, and a lot of color pages, I mean A LOT! So much so that I thought the entire thing was color paged (Also, the artist for this arc is the one who did volume 1 & 2, and her art has gotten a lot better), so you get your money's worth with this release ($11.99).

Next up is another moe series, minus the horror aspect, K-ON! volume 4, released by Yen Press.

What can I say? K-ON is light fun and an entertaining read, especially since this volume is well made, with plenty of color pages, and is also the final volume(?) so reading the author's afterword is a little bonus to be included. $11.99 is a good price to buy it at too.

Done with Yen Press for now, it's time once again for an epic fail with rollerblades, Air Gear volume 21, released by Kodansha.

I'm done with the run on joke, I bought Air Gear, ha, ha, ha, I'm fucking retarded. Blah, blah, $10.99, blah, blah, decent volume.

Now that I got that out of the way, here's the next ghost in the shell-este series, Mardock Scramble volume 3, released by Kodansha.

Pretty much your decent manga volume, it's got a spine, the pages are paper, and I can't think of a good thing to say other than saying it's overall decent though a little bit smaller than the previous volumes, and $10.99 is probably Kodansha's go to price, not that I'm arguing though.

And last and definitely the best of this week's purchases, Mushi-Shi omnibus volume 8/9/10, released by Del Ray.

First off I gotta say that is the most fucking confusing cover of a manga I have ever seen, I swear to god I feel like I'm holding it the wrong way every time I pick it up. Anyway, this is the single most best deal for a manga I have ever bought, priced at $24.99 (Which in most cases, three manga would easily be just above thirty dollars), I got this for, drum roll please.......... $3.99!!!!
It's used but, it's perfectly fine, and just blows my mind how this was priced, some times it pays off to go look in your local bookstore, and no, I tried, but you can't find this for a better price online.

OVERALL: One Piece rocks, Air Gear sucks, Yen Press loves their color pages and used stuff is awesome.

It's between B+ and A- for this week.

Next week, as I said up up up above, I'll be picking up the stuff I couldn't get next week, including Star Driver.

Air Gear shouldn't have been running for as long as it is, it isn't the type of story that you can drag on for years.
