My Rating Scale:
1. Terrible shows either too irredeemable to be given higher, or a show emblematic of some industry wide problem.
2. Bad shows
3. Still bad, but it feels like some thought/effort was put into it in some way. A lot of times shows on this tier can be considered to be 'not for me'.
4. The intersection between good and bad. Shows with aspects I love contrasted with aspects that I hate. Shows in this tier tend to be either shows with passion, heart and ambition, but fall short on the execution; or shows that are pure schlock.
5. This is the tier where I start to consider shows 'good'. Shows on this tier usually have a lot of problems, but not enough for them to drag the anime down too much.
6. Great shows. This is the tier where I really start enjoying the shows and start to become invested on a deeper level, Though usually there's something decently big holding them back. I'd happily recommend these, as even though they're not perfect, they're more than worth the watch.
7. The highest tier of shows I wouldn't consider favourites; you could call these the honourable mentions. I still love these shows obviously, It's just that for whatever reason I didn't get invested enough for me to consider them favourites.
8-10. The favourites. Spread across 3 tiers so I can differentiate between the subtle levels my favourites resonate with me. Everything in these 3 tiers is borderline perfect and I love every single one of them to death.

A super solid semi-episodic adventure that ticks all the boxes. It's never going to blow you away, but it also never fails to entertain.
Roujin Z
This was the first one I watched, and I think this was my favorite. I'm actually going through something like that in my life (putting someone in senior care, not the evolving robot part) so it really resonated with me. I also liked that it was a really funny satire.
Lu Over the Wall
This was the second one I finished, and I thought it was really charming. The story was pretty simple, but the real highlight was how bouncy the animation was. I had a real smile on my face when everybody started dancing. I thought the colors were perfect, too!
Kaiba
This was the one series out of the three that I had heard of before, but I probably wouldn't've ever started it without it being recommended— and I'm glad I did! I found the overarching mystery to be really engaging, and I also liked the one off characters in the series.
Overall, I greatly enjoyed your secret santa recommendations! Thanks for recommending them to me!
