Delico's Nursery

A scourge has descended upon vampire society in the form of serial murders. The killings appear unrelated at first glance, but every crime scene has one thing in common: a card left behind, bearing the words "True of Vamp"—the name given to the legendary progenitor of all vampires.

The Vlad Agency, a secret intelligence operation, summons the renowned aristocrat Dali Delico to lead the task force investigating the murders. However, Dali refuses, choosing to focus on raising his children. His old colleagues—Gerhard Fra, Henrique Lorca, and Dino Classico—plead with him to balance his duty to the agency with child-rearing. He agrees on one condition: the other three men must also care for their children during the investigation.

Dali's estate therefore becomes a nursery and the base of operations for the four noble vampires. Meanwhile, a criminal organization Dali knows all too well lurks in the shadows with evil intentions that threaten to cause the collapse of the entire vampire society.

Definitely a unique watch that I 100% say is worth the watch!
Even before this show aired I was HYPED. Lots of online anime content creators were talking about this show and building up the excitement. I'm also a big fan of anything related to "family tropes" so this felt right up my alley.
And it didn't take long for me to really enjoy this show. I watched both dub and sub, but personally I enjoyed the dub more (Mainly for Henrique calling Dali "Dali-Boy" but also it was just very well done). The world of the story is incredible. The blend of historical fiction as ... well as using the vampire tropes in new ways is super cool. While personally I would've liked more backstory and worldbuilding, the somewhat lack of it didn't take away from the plot. The art style is also one of my favorite things about this show. It's unlike anything I've really seen. The almost sketch like qualities blending the mix of 2D/3D, and never shifting the art style for tone shifts in the show. It's consistently gorgeous with each episode. All the characters are fantastic too. The main adult protagonists are such a nice mix. Each of them are strong in their character tropes and the interactions between them work well (And I cannot be the only one to think that there is a CRAZY amount of homoerotic subtext going on between them but then again I guess that's what happens when you don't have a whole lot of female characters). The kiddos are also a lot of fun. All of them have their own personalities and really capture both the joy and stress of taking care of young kids (Trust me 95% of my job is taking care of kids this show is pretty accurate). While the villains are a great mix, they're the only characters I feel aren't written as well. A lot of them feel a bit like carbon copies of villains from other shows (Looking at you My Hero Academia), but are still a lot of fun nonetheless. What they lack in individuality they make up in depth as being a lot more than just "Evil is my only personality trait" which I appreciate (Catarina I love you please never stop slaying!).
Overall I feel this show deserves all the hype it gets. It's thoughtful, exciting, heartwarming, and overall a great watch!

This is bad. Like, really bad. Did I watch the whole thing? Yes. Do I know why? No.

I heard that this is the anime adaptation of some original content, and I don’t know if the original is a manga or a stage play by the same name, but either way it fails spectacularly. The writing, scenarios, and overall character motivations are so clunky and awkward. I cannot comment on one specific aspect because the whole script would need to be rewritten.

The one thing it had going, and probably the reason why I ended up finishing instead of DNFing, is the art style was amazing. Although, ... the backgrounds could've used some work, as it’s pretty obvious they just slapped some filters onto a CG background and called it a day.

All in all don’t waste your time. I wanted a wholesome but badass dads kicking butt but also taking care of their children type anime but this was NOT it. If you’re looking for something like that, watch Spy Family or Yakuza Babysitter
