Same author, same extremely detailed and serious depiction of the hobby the show is dedicated to, visual style and visual humor. The main difference is in the pace and manner of narration, because if Yuru Camp is one of the most famous comfortable and relaxing wholesome anime, then Mono is much bolder, more silly and grotesque. And yes, both shows essentially take place in the same shared universe.

Teenage girls visiting various places throughout Japan, with emphasis on both comedy and slice of life shenanigans.

Ironic and funny CGDCT hobby (action cameras and cooking) comedies from the masters of the genre (Non Non Biyori and Yuru Camp, respectively). Both shows have very energetic editing, visual gags and aired in the spring 2025 season.

Both are SOL and comedy with CGDCT, but for Bocchi it's about forming a band, social anxiety and being relatable, whereas with mono it's the cinematography club (or as they call it in the anime, the cinephoto club) and more so about being comfy and chill. Both have simplistic but beautiful animation with a very solid OST and very similar comedy.

JK's within CGDCT shows that states they focus on photography. They feature girls on a journey to discover more within photography which in turn journeying within themselves too as people. Despite the similarities with everyday slice of life festivities in taking pictures alongside going to school, they are different in overall feel where Tamayura is a lot more peaceful and quaint compared to the hyperactiveness of Mono and within Tamayura, photography is mainly done by one of the characters (until later on within the series) focusing on the use of older traditional cameras whereas photography in Mono is generally done by the club members with very modern  read more

Both Mono and Sansha Sanyou are the comedy-SOL animes from the Manga Time Kirara brand consisting of the daily life of urban high school girls dealing with some similar interests: Food, photography, cats, and even anomalies of the girls' life! Both Mono and Sansha Sanyou also have some characters with these bespoke traits: Big eaters (Sakurako and Futaba), toxic chicks (An and Teru), emerging protagonists (Satsuki and Youko), wacky big sister/senpai (Inomata/Fake Tajima and Kou), and even the mysterious significant others (Kurokuma and Sonobe)! If you have liked Mono, you can take a peek at Sansha Sanyou too.

As the Spring 2025 slice of life animes, both mono and Ninkoro are connected to each other: The 10th episode of mono refers to the ninja culture in the ninja museum of Togakushi, while Ninkoro presents two mono casts: Haruna Mikawa as the protagonist Satoko and Aoi Koga as Mao, one of the special assassination squad from Satoko's former village.
