Before I start with the "review" part. Let me just say (so you know where I'm coming from) that I have read and really liked the original Korean webtoon this anime is based off of.
So...let's first address the elephants in the room:
1) This particular anime adaptation is "China-fied" (no offense intended) meaning only existing dub [as of now] is Chinese and the names have been altered to be more "Chinese-sounding." There are also a couple other slightly less noticeable things that were changed to "match" the different culture that I noticed like: some attire & some settings/locations...
2) Episodes are about 14-ish minutes long that's
...
including the 2 min (each) OP & ED so mathematically: the episodes are only about 10 minutes each (get ready for cliffhanger-ish endings almost every episode).
3) The animation style looks overly 3D like it's been rammed through a 3D animation software with very sparse sprinkles of some 2D (animations) for various parts that require more "expressions" that a 3D model may not depict. Personally I don't think they do a bad job transitioning back and forth from 3D to 2D. (For example, if we're in the middle of long dialogue sequence it [the talking] continues uninterrupted but the visual change can be sudden and unpredictable unless you KNOW when to expect it)
-------------------
Despite all that, personally I don't think it's that bad of a watch, especially if you're a fan of the original work.
On that same note, if you ARE a huge fan of the original webcomic there are quite a few glaring differences that may bother you (some that I've mentioned already), however the core plot pretty much matches the original (granted: as of writing this I've only seen 11 episodes so far and I've only noticed one plot difference so far, albeit minor in the grand scheme)
TL;DR:
So far it's a pretty good "interpretation" of the original work. Yes I called it an interpretation, not an adaptation. If you are interested in watching this because you're familiar with the original work, I say give it chance for a few episodes -see if the differences bother you.
If you're not familiar with the original: If you're fine with the 1st 3 points I pointed out in the beginning and romance/comedy genre is your thing, I think this series is worth checking out.
(Or I mean you could also check out the original first and then come back to this later...)
