Anime Relations: Kidou Senshi Gundam
G-Saviour (2000) is a Canadian live-action television film created as part of the Gundam franchise. Set as an alternate future of the Universal Century timeline.

The idea of creating a live action Gundam movie for the 20th anniversary was a good one for the time, it was just executed horribly. Not everything involving Gundam is perfect but G-Saviour has to be the worst. So much so that it doesn't even have the word Gundam in the title, its not even said once in the movie.

The studio made a good choice creating new suits for the movie since using pre-established ones would have been a let down. In my opinion even for the time the CGI was crap! The only decent scene in the whole movie is CGI in a completely CGI enviroment. For being a Gundam movie set in the universal century nothing looks right. The whole movie looks like crap ripped off from other movies. The soldiers look like they were ripped right from Starship Troopers, the Zeon equivalent wear two bit Nazi uniforms, and one of the space colonies wears African stuff.

All the little annoying crap could be forgiven if it weren't for one thing. That the whole movie is absolutely boring! every second of it is boring from beginning to end. The storyline is poor and the actors are garbage. None of them know how to emote.

Bottom line is G-Saviour should be white washed. It should never be talked about again! So unless you are a die hard Gundam fan and need to add it to the list just pass it by.
