| this show is so complicated!! lol heres the order it aired in japan: Sign 2002 Liminity 2002-2003 Twilight 2003 Roots 2006 Yet, basically all of the series are seperate storylines. You need to play the games to understand really what is fully going on.Because Roots wasn't meant an anime on its own, its like a prequel to the .hack games that came out (.Hack//G.U. 1-Rebirth, 2-Reminisce, 3-Redemption). The Roots storyline continues into those games. Also if you play the first 4 .hack games(.Hack// 1-Infection, 2-Mutation, 3-Outbreak, 4-Quarantine) theres a few characters from Sign that are in the games, because .Hack//Sign anime takes place while the first 4 games are going on. | I would just like to say that .hack sign is actually before the events of the first 4 video games and its only liminality going on at the same time. Also you could just read the books that the games are based on if you dont want to buy them. They are called the another birth series and they are shown from Black Roses view (note this is a book not a manga) or you could read .hack//xxxx manga which is the same story except from kites view |
